Charlotte with oranges - it's delicious!

For sure, since childhood, such delicious pastries as charlottes are familiar. Although our mothers, she is more familiar under the name "jelly apple pie". And many other grandmothers baked it with jam. However, very few people know that there is a charlotte with oranges. Nevertheless, this pie, no doubt, like everyone who tries it once.

It is about these dishes that they say: "You will lick your fingers!" And indeed, the pie turns out to be tender, juicy and insanely delicious. Although you only need to replace apples with oranges or tangerines, the taste changes drastically, and one biscuit remains from the classic charlotte. There are many recipes for such a cake with citrus, but the essence of all is similar. There are only small differences in the fact that some add raisins, other nuts, and others in general combine with apples or pears.

First option

Charlotte with oranges, the recipe of which we will describe below, without any additives.

What do you need to prepare charlottes?

So, the first thing you need is time, your cake will be baked in about an hour. And to mix the dough, you will be 30 minutes. By the size of charlotte will be about 5 people. This cake is quite high-calorie - 200 kCal in 100 grams of the product, so if you are dieting, do not bake it better, because, having tried it, you can hardly resist the temptation. After cooking, store the product at room temperature. Preparing a charlotte with oranges in the oven or multivark.

Ingredients necessary for cooking: 3 eggs, 1 glass of sugar, 1 cup of flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, a quarter of a teaspoon of vanillin, cinnamon (if you like), 30 grams of butter to lubricate the form.

And now we knead the dough. In a deep dish, break 3 eggs and add sugar. Beat about 15 minutes with a mixer. It is possible and a whisk, but then the baking turns out not so magnificent. Mix flour in a separate container mixed with baking powder and vanillin, then add to the eggs and sugar. Stir until the lumps disappear. It is necessary that the charlotte with oranges should go up well and be tender.

Filling

We now turn to the preparation of the filling. Oranges or tangerines are peeled from the peel and white veins that are bitter in the pie. Cut into small slices. To do this, it is better to take a very sharp knife, so as not to squeeze out the juice. If you are a fan of cinnamon, you can add it to the filling.

Final stage

In parallel with this we warm up in the oven a baking dish, melt the butter in it and lubricate it. Then pour half of the dough into it, lay out the slices of our filling. We try to do this uniformly and smoothly. Then our charlotte with oranges is covered with the rest of the test. The recipe is very similar. There are only a few differences.

  • Firstly, we take not 3 eggs, but 5 pieces.
  • Secondly, to prepare the filling we will need and oranges, and apples. And it's 2 different fillers, they do not need to be mixed! You can also add cinnamon to one or both to taste.
  • Thirdly, we do not divide the finished dough in half, but into 3 parts.
  • Fourth, pour first into the mold a third, then put a layer of apples, then again dough, a layer of oranges or tangerines, and then we pour the remaining dough. If the dishes for baking are large in area, then for the first time it is better to make a double portion of the dough.
  • Fifth, the oven is heated up to 160 degrees and set for 40 minutes, then we take it out and try it, if it's ready, then we'll see if it's ruddy, if not, then put 200 degrees and fry it.
