Types of suspended ceilings from aluminum panels

It is worth saying that the process of assembling all suspended ceilings is practically the same, so you need to pay special attention to the details.

There are 2 main types of aluminum ceilings:

• Perforator or drill (in order to make holes for fastening elements);
• Scissors and a knife for metal (for trimming racks);
• Self-tapping screws and dowel-nails;
• pliers;
• Screwdriver (for connecting all elements of the frame).

Marking

Installation of a false ceiling from aluminum panels begins after all necessary for performance of work will be prepared. To make such a ceiling with your own hands, you must first apply a perimeter markup. This is done in order to determine the level of location of the suspended structure.

From the base overlap, the minimum distance should be about 3.5-4 cm. The largest indentation is limited by the length of the suspensions. Along the perimeter of the room, according to the established level, a line is carried out, which will be the determining reference point for the installation of the suspension system. When marking is done, the line should be checked with a level and the distance between the floor covering and it should be monitored through gaps that are from 1 to 1.5 meters.

Further it is necessary to put a marking on the slabs. To install the frame, depending on the number of traverses, it is necessary to apply the appropriate number of lines. Between the wall and the comb, the distance should be in the range of 40-50 cm, between adjacent fixing bars - about 100-120 cm. Fastening the traverses with this step ensures the required rigidity of the structure. After the marking has been completed, the carcass assembly and installation of the suspended ceiling from aluminum begins.

Rack system installation

Assemblage of a skeleton for a hinged rake ceiling is made stage by stage:

1. First of all, around the perimeter of the room, the starting profile is mounted on the marked markings. It is applied to a horizontal line and using a perforator, holes are drilled in the bar and wall. Do this work with an assistant, and not alone, because one pair of hands is needed to fix the profile, and the other - to drill.
2. At the next stage plastic plugs are inserted into the prepared holes. Further, the final fixing of the profile is made, clogging in them the special screws intended for express mounting. The step size of the fastener is 50 cm.
3. After the profile is securely fastened, mounts on the ceiling overlap to install the traverses.
4. At the next stage, the surface of the ceiling structure is assembled. For this, before mounting on the mounting rail, all aluminum rails are adjusted to the correct size. To do this, cut the cut panel to make a notch using a knife or an awl.
5. Next, scissors for metal cut the edge of the bar and break off the excess material. The prepared panel is raised and snapped on the bracket provided on the traverse. At the same time, the ends of the rail form the starting profile. Then, intermediate inserts are assembled between the main panels. The last rake is cut not only along the length, but also along.
6. The assembly is completed by installing and connecting the built-in luminaires. In the laths for the lighting fixtures, the corresponding holes are made.
