Post boxes for parcels are the proprietary products of the "Post of Russia". The material is a dense multi-ply corrugated cardboard of high quality. The walls of such a package, consisting of three or more glued layers, are able to perfectly hold the shape, and also prevent damage, deformation and wetting of the attachment. The parcel will remain intact even after falling from a small height.

The proprietary box is sold as a designer, that is in the form of a flat cardboard sheet from which it is possible to easily assemble a reliable package without using additional fastening materials, tape or metal clips.

Branded postal boxes for parcels are made exclusively in the colors of the "Post of Russia": on a blue background on all surface white letters are marked with a logo.

The front side of the package is provided with a form for writing all the necessary information about the sender and the recipient: an index, an address, and so on.

All parcels, with the exception of the parcels with the list of enclosures or with the declared value, are accepted for shipment at the post office packed, after which they are glued with the branded colored or white adhesive tape (scotch tape) with the inscription "Mail of Russia" along the entire length.

Dimensions of standard carton boxes

There are six standard sizes for branded post packages:

• The largest size of the box for the parcel "Mail of Russia" - 425 x 265 x 380 mm. It is designated as "Type A" or No. 6.
• A little less wide packaging - "type B", also designated number 5. The standard size is 425 x 265 x 190 mm.
• The next largest mail box is 425 x 165 x 190 mm. Name, respectively, number 4, or "type B".
• The size of the box number 3, the same "type G", - 265 x 165 x 190 mm.
• "Type D", or No. 2, of the original packaging corresponds to a size of 165 x 215 x 100 mm.
• The minimum size of the box for the parcel "Mail of Russia" - box number 1, or "type E", - 220 x 185 x 50 mm.

All types of branded packages differ not only in size but also in shape. From the offered assortment to choose the best cardboard, the most appropriate size of the investment.

What is it for? First, the size of the box directly depends on the value of the parcel. Sending a small object in a large package, the customer twice overcharges for "air": buying a more expensive container and paying an additional fare for the shipment.

Another reason is the need to fill the empty space in the box with paper or similar material. According to the rules of rendering postal services, the investment should not be moved inside the package, as this creates the risk of damage to the departure in transit.

Is it possible to send a parcel not in the box of "Post of Russia"

The question that raises a lot of controversy: can a sender use a package instead of a proprietary mail box to send a parcel through the Russian Post? Could this be considered an excuse for the operator not to accept it?

The procedure for receiving mail items that is in effect for the time being does not prohibit the customer of Post of Russia from sending packages not in standard post boxes with the company logo, but using the sender's packaging, but subject to certain requirements for packaging:

• The use of packages from corrugated cardboard for the transfer of mail attachments is allowed if there are no inscriptions on the surface, except data about the sender and the recipient of the parcel, there is no scotch and its tracks. If a box that does not meet these requirements is used for shipment, then the parcel can be sent by wrapping it in a plain light fabric or solid one-color paper and writing information about the recipient and the sender directly on the material. To wrap a box with a parcel of one-ton paper or other material, the mail client can independently, or at the request of the client, do this at the post office, including this service in the cost of the parcel.
• Packaging can also be a box of plywood, wood or polymer material, but with the same condition of the absence of inscriptions and tape on the outside surface.
• If the largest standard size of the box to send ("Russian Post") does not contain soft products, for example, carpets or clothes, then they can be sent in a durable fabric bag, after protecting the enclosure with plastic wrap. The address in this case is not pasted and not sewn, but applied directly to the surface of the tissue bag, and it itself is sealed by the post office operator.
• Separate types of parcels, for example, newspapers, books, catalogs and magazines, can be sent in a package of solid one-tone paper with the obligatory presence of tight sheets-pads on both sides: with address and with the opposite.

How to correctly fill in information about the sender and recipient

The address, postal code and other information on the proprietary postal box are indicated only in a special form, printed in the form of a white rectangle on the front side of the box "Post of Russia". Information is filled in accordance with the instructions in the lines, in large legible letters without corrections and abbreviations of geographical names.

How many times can I use the postage package

In accordance with the established procedure for receiving parcels, you can not reuse the proprietary mail box. To seal the front side intended for writing recipient data, paper or other material with a new address is also unacceptable.

However, the previously used proprietary box of the "Post of Russia" is allowed to be used to send the parcel as a usual cardboard package with inscriptions, that is, before wrapping in a plain light fabric or dense one-color paper. The address and data of the addressee are written directly on paper or cloth, to which the parcel is wrapped.

Where can I buy a branded box of the "Post of Russia"?

Undoubtedly, the simplest solution is to buy a package for parcels in any post office. In addition, cardboard boxes of the "Post of Russia", corresponding to the standard sizes, can be freely purchased from companies selling such materials via the Internet.

Of course, it will be necessary to buy postal boxes through a virtual store in advance in view of the delivery time. But sites selling packaging materials have a clear advantage. For example, the package can be purchased on time, in addition, there is always the necessary size of the box to send. The "Post of Russia", especially the offices in small settlements, can not always boast of this.

Post boxes, bought in this way, are accepted in any department and are not subject to additional packing, except for pasting with a firm tape (scotch tape) with a firm logo.
