The drug "Flemoclav Solutab" is available in four types of tablets containing clavulanic acid and amoxicillin, respectively, at 31.25 milligrams + 125 milligrams, 62.5 milligrams + 250 milligrams, 125 milligrams + 500 milligrams, 125 milligrams + 875 milligrams, respectively. In addition to the active ingredients, the tablets contain ingredients such as crospovidone, vanillin, microcrystalline cellulose, vanillin, saccharin, magnesium stearate, apricot flavor.

Ammoxicillin is a semisynthetic bactericidal antibiotic with a broad spectrum of action, and belongs to the aminobenzylpenicillin group. Clavulanic acid is a product of the life of fungi, called Streptomyces clavuligerus. It has a weak antibacterial effect, but most importantly - clavulanic acid has a depressing effect on the enzymatic apparatus of bacteria, thereby protecting amoxicillin from decomposition by various types of lactamases produced by it.

The indications for the use of the preparation "Flemoclav Solutab" include the following: various infectious diseases of the ENT organs (such as acute sinusitis, middle acute otitis media), infectious diseases of the lower parts of the respiratory tract (non-hospital pneumonia, severe exacerbations of chronic bronchitis), infectious diseases of the genito-urinary tract (Cystitis, pyelonephritis), infectious diseases of the skin and soft tissues.

The instruction describes the use of the drug Flemoclav Solutab as follows: in order to reduce the severity of dyspeptic manifestations, the drug should be used at the very beginning of the meal. The drug "Flemoklav Solutab" (tablets) can be swallowed whole or chewed, washed down with water. You can dissolve one tablet in half a glass of water, but not less than thirty milliliters, and mix thoroughly before drinking, drink this solution. Usually, the antibiotic "Flemoclav Solutab" is prescribed for up to three to four days after the clinical symptoms of the disease disappear. And the total duration of the course is from ten days. But the drug "Flemoklav Solutab" does not recommend the use without monitoring the liver function for more than fourteen days.

Dosage of the drug for adults and children, whose weight exceeds forty kilograms, is 500/125 milligrams three times a day, strictly with an interval of eight hours between meals. With the development of severe, recurrent or chronic infections, the dose of the drug can be increased up to two times.

For children from two years to twelve, the preparation "Flemoclav Solutab" recommends the use of 20-30 milligrams of amoxicillin with five to seven and a half milligrams of clavulanic acid divided into three doses.

Contraindications to the appointment of the drug "Flemoclav, Solutab" are: high sensitivity to the components of the drug, a violation of the liver or the development of jaundice in an anamnesis that occurred after taking the substances that make up this drug.

When taking this medication, the following side effects can occur: the development of superinfections, colonization by such non-pathogenic fungi as, for example, yeast fungi, a violation of the blood picture, itching, eczema, exanthema that occurs five to eleven days after the start of its administration, urticaria, enanthema.

There may also be problems with the nervous system, such as headache, convulsions, dizziness, insomnia, aggression, hyperactivity.

From the stomach and intestines: nausea, gastralgia, flatulence, diarrhea, vomiting.

The liver can respond with a moderate increase in the concentration of enzymes, occasionally hepatitis, cholestatic or transient hepatic jaundice can develop.
