To prepare the dish at this stage it is recommended to take a deep frying pan covered with a lid or a small saucepan. When the cabbage comes to the necessary softness, the semolina is put in a dish, salt, and everything is left on fire for another 10 minutes. The resulting mass is cooled, small balls are formed from it, which are given the shape of oblong cutlets. They crumble in breadcrumbs (if they are not, you can use semolina for this purpose again), fry in a heated skillet until a golden brown crust appears on top. Garnish to the dish can serve as mashed potatoes or vegetable salad.

An equally simple way of making cutlets, the main ingredient of which will be cabbage, is the following. Warm up half a glass of milk on the stove. To the liquid is added 50 g of butter (softened or melted), salt to the taste of the cooking. It also pours out cabbage cabbage chopped with straws. The mixture is left on fire for 15 minutes. At the moment when the cabbage is soft enough, in small portions, with constant stirring, 3 spoons of semolina are poured. After that, the mass is removed from the fire. In a cool mixture put a raw egg, everything is thoroughly mixed. Small chops are formed from the resulting mixture. Cabbage balls dipped in a beaten raw egg, and then in breadcrumbs and laid out on a greased baking sheet. Prepare cabbage patties in the oven, heated to 180 degrees, about half an hour. You can fry the dish in a frying pan. Before serving, it is recommended to sprinkle fresh cutlets on top of the cutlet.

So that during cooking, the mass does not stick to your hands, it is recommended to soak them in cold water. It is also recommended to shred cabbage no larger than 2 cm. Softened vegetables with semolina can be cut in a blender, then the mixture will be more dense and homogeneous.

There is a recipe for making cabbage cutlets "lazy". This method of cooking allows you to save time, however, the dish is not less tender and original than in the traditional version. In order to make such cabbage patties, you need 300-400 grams of a vegetable. In addition, the chef needs to take a raw egg, a little flour, salt and pepper (you can substitute other spices, taste). In the blender, chopped raw cabbage is chopped. The egg is added to the mass, spices and salt. Cautiously poured the flour in such a way that the result is a tight mixture, from which it will be possible to fashion small balls. It should be noted that in this case, to make cabbage cutlets are well fried, they are made thin and small.
