Shaurma recipe: the dish is simple, but amazingly tasty

Shaurma (in another way - shaverma) is an original oriental dish - a flat cake wrapped in a delicious filling. Sometimes it is created from meat of different varieties, finely chopped, mixed with a small amount of spices and sauces, and sometimes as a filling it is allowed to use a salad of fresh vegetables. Shaurma recipe suggests choosing for beef or lamb stuffing, poultry meat, for example, turkey, however in our country very many prefer to use chicken meat for making delicious food from the East.

Whichever meat is selected, its processing for shawarma must be done in the same scenario: it must be cut into slices of fillet, slightly discarded (wrapped previously in a piece of food film, so as not to lose a gram of meat juice) and marinate. If a beef is chosen to make a shawarma, then the best marinade for it will be red wine and lemon juice with onions, for a chicken it is necessary to take mayonnaise with spices, and pork should be marinated in white wine or vinegar (apple or wine) with Onions and seasonings. When the meat is held in the marinade mix for at least 12 hours, it can be fried: ideally - on an open fire, in other cases - in a frying pan with a thick bottom.

You can choose any shawarma recipe that will make this dish as tasty as possible, especially if you apply one secret - to water the meat while it is being fried, with orange juice to soak the fillet, and the delicacy becomes juicy and fragrant. Fried meat should be grinded and proceed with the basic cooking process. To do this, you need to take ready-made chopped fillets (700 gr.), Onions (1 goal), cucumber and tomato (1 piece), garlic (2-3 tooth), pita bread and all kinds of spices. In addition, you need mayonnaise or sour cream (50 ml each). Vegetables should be cut into "straws", put together with meat, put on flat cake-lavash, pour sauce, then roll the cake "envelope" and slightly fry on both sides. A ready shawarma can be baked for a few minutes in the oven, a minute "proto" in a microwave oven or fry in a frying pan with thick walls and a bottom. Hot food should be slightly poured with mayonnaise, so that it becomes even more fragrant and juicy.

Like many other recipes from the chicken breast, the recipe for shawarma with chicken meat can be one of the recognized culinary masterpieces cooked at home. Take for this you need a couple of sheets of lavash (thin), chicken fillet (350 grams), cucumbers and tomatoes (2 pcs.), Cabbage (100 grams) and carrots in Korean (200 grams). For juicy sauce, ketchup and mayonnaise (45 ml.), And for complement - greens, spices and "arrows" of green onions. First of all, you should prepare the meat as described above - cut into slices, marinate for 12 hours, fry and grind. Next you need to chop greens, combine in a bowl with chopped vegetables and green onions. After that the shawarma recipe is suggested to be engaged in the assembly of food - on the table it is necessary to spread the pita bread, smear it with mayonnaise, lay out in turn vegetables, meat, "Korean" carrots and cabbage, and also greens. At the top of the shawarma is poured with a sauce - a mixture of ketchup with mayonnaise, after which the filling can be mixed, and turn the pita bread with a roll, carefully, so that the filling does not fall out, and fry.

In principle, strict rules for the preparation of this gorgeous oriental dish is not - you can prepare shawarma according to the above-described recipes, or you can add your own ingredients. For example, you can use in addition to mustard sauce and a large number of spices, and for the filling, in addition to meat, take cheese or any vegetables. You can even cook a shawarma in a vegetarian style - with vegetables and light, low-fat mayonnaise.
