Accordingly, those who do not yet have their rightful place in the parking lot, still need somewhere to settle down, and the distances between the cars are so miserable that you can not do without help. But for this you will either have to ask another person to stand behind the car and gesture to show where and how to safely stop by, or move in centimeters, after which each time get out of the car and check the distance to other objects or cars. What is Parktronic?

This is an ultrasonic device to facilitate the car parking. In another way, it is called a parking radar. The sensors that form the basis emit ultrasound, which determines the exact distance to the obstacle. Recently, there have been updated versions - in addition to sound on a special screen or the radio's display appears a picture with the exact distance data to any object.

Types of Parking Sensors

Parking radars are manufactured in various trim levels. The main components are ultrasonic sensors, they can be from two to eight, respectively, the more, the more effective the result, but the price will also grow. Also sensors parktronic are installed on the car in two different ways. Or they neatly cut into the bumper, which in the end looks quite natural and unnoticed, or overlap (glued) to the rear. The latter option is usually applied to the simplest parktronics with two sensors and is not the most effective, since the two controllers installed even on the smallest car have so-called "blind zones", in which, for example, some column can fall. Therefore, they are practically not used now. It is best even for the smallest car to install at least four sensors - the result will be more reliable.

How to install a parking aid

From the rear bumper sensors (three or four - depending on the selected parking sensors) are connected to the wires coming from the reversing lamps , so they will turn on automatically when the reverse gear is engaged. If you know what a parktronic is, then it will not be difficult.

The front sensors are connected to the brake light wires and when the brake pedal is depressed, they will also be triggered automatically.

Remember, even the most expensive device will not be able to show the correct values in the following situations:

- with heavy precipitation;

Choosing a parking sensor is not so difficult. First of all, the choice depends on the financial state of the buyer, because the most reliable devices are not at all cheap (for example, Spark, Park Robot, Parkcity).

In any case, as described above, it is better to not take less than four sensors for your own certainty. All controllers will be installed on the rear bumper of the car and respond very well to obstacles.
