Treatment of a tooth cyst

Excellent health for most people is the key to a happy life. To save it, specialists in different fields advise their patients to eat right, exercise and periodically undergo preventive examinations, especially if there is the slightest possibility of manifesting diseases. Nevertheless, insidious ailments still catch up with people, and, as a rule, quite unexpectedly.

One of the most unpleasant diseases in the field of dentistry is the cyst of the tooth, the symptoms of which are manifested mainly when it is already in neglected form. Undoubtedly, like many other diseases, the treatment of the tooth cyst depends on the degree of its development, that is, the sooner the doctor finds it, the easier it will be to get rid of it later. Quite often the cyst is detected by chance and is visible only on radiographs. That's why experts strongly recommend checking the dysfunctional teeth at least every six months.

Still some time ago treatment of a cyst of a tooth was reduced to rather unpleasant procedures of a full extraction of a tooth. To date, such radical methods, fortunately, have been left behind. Now treatment of a tooth cyst can be carried out both surgically, and more sparing therapeutic. Of course, the choice of any of these methods is purely individual for each patient. Both of them have both attractive and negative sides, but the biggest plus is that in most cases it is possible to keep the tooth.

As a rule, treatment of the dental cyst with the help of surgery occurs as an operation, in which the cyst itself is removed, as well as the damaged upper part of the dental root. The popularity of this operation is explained by its absolute reliability, but it is quite complicated, and it is also difficult to find a specialist capable of correctly and without negative consequences carrying out all manipulations. There is also a different type of surgical treatment - hemisection. The dentist-surgeon in this case, in addition to the cyst itself, completely removes the damaged root, grabbing part of the tooth above it. Further on the defects formed after the removal put crowns. Undoubtedly, sometimes there are situations when the tooth is almost completely destroyed or staggering, being in the cavity of the cyst. Under such conditions, the tooth can not be kept and, as a rule, it is removed.

Treatment of a cyst of a tooth in a therapeutic way allows to do without any operations, delivering to patient much less negative emotions. A major disadvantage of this treatment is its long duration in the absence of absolute guarantees. A similar method of treatment consists in reaming the affected tooth and thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting the canal. For this, as a rule, all sorts of disinfectants are used that can rid of microbes and bacteria present in the cavity. Only after the completion of the first stage can you proceed to the next. It consists in the fact that the therapeutist-dentist fills the space formed after drilling with a special pasty substance that affects the rapid renewal and growth of bone tissue. After filling the tooth is sealed and after six months the presence of a cyst is checked with the help of an X-ray. If it is not available, then you can talk about successful treatment, but, as a rule, it occurs only in 70% of patients. In some clinics, patients may be offered to undergo several diphosphorus sessions, which uses copper-calcium hydroxide , which is capable of getting rid of bacteria and damaged cells under the influence of an electric current. A similar option is the treatment of a tooth cyst by a laser, in which the cyst is evaporated and the root is disinfected. Thus, the cause of the disease is eliminated.
