Themes of sociological research in school

The problem of professional self-determination is relevant in the modern school. The program of sociological research on the topic "Choice of profession" helps children make the right choice of their vocation, find a job for their liking.

The relevance of research

Many guys plan to get in demand specialties, and, regardless of the availability of inclinations, abilities. Adolescents acquire the advertised profession, but are not able to take place in it, realize their talents. That is why the topics of sociological research related to the self-determination of high school students are of such serious importance. An important part of the profile training of trainees is the timely diagnosis of their personal qualities, individual abilities and interests.

A sociological study on the topic "Youth and profession" is aimed at helping children in choosing a specialty.

If we take into account the fact that when choosing a profession, the interrelation between the psychological characteristics of the adolescent and certain characteristics of the profession is very important, then the themes of sociological research should be related to studying the temperament of adolescents.

Aims and objectives of the study

The goal is to find the relationship between temperament and choice of profession.

A sociological study on "Relations and self-determination" involves the solution of the following tasks:

  • To study some historical information about the types of temperament;
  • To get acquainted with the methods of studying the types of temperament;
  • Identify and motivate the influence of the type of temperament on the choice of profession;
  • To correlate the temperament with the professions chosen by schoolchildren.

Object of study: students of the ninth grade.

Subject of the study: temperament.

Methods and main forms of activity:

  • Theoretical analysis of psychological, methodical and special literature;
  • Monitoring, conducting individual testing;
  • Statistical analysis of the survey.

Hypothesis: the type of temperament has a significant influence on the choice of the future profession in adolescence.

Themes of sociological research concerning the choice of the future specialty presuppose a detailed study of various methods.

The concept of temperament

The problem, which will be discussed, mankind is interested in more than 25 centuries. In the V century. BC. E. In Greece appeared the doctrine of the types of temperament. It argued that health is determined by the combination of various fluids that are part of the human body.

Each fluid has certain properties and purpose. With their disproportionate mixing, the development of various diseases is possible. This doctrine dominated in science for more than two millennia. It was used to identify the individual characteristics of both healthy and sick people.

If we proceed from this theory, we can identify the typology of temperaments. Claudius Galen (II century BC) successfully coped with this task. He suggested that there is a connection between the quantity of human fluids with its specific psychological properties and specific behavior.

Galen identified four basic types of temperament, and psychologists use them today.

Scientific point of view on temperament

Gradually this theory ceases to be relevant, there are versions of alchemists about the connection of temperament with mercury, sulfur, salts. There were also such theories, whose adherents determined the differences between people by mixing in the ether and air. Russian pedagogue and biologist PF Lesgaft suggested that human temperament is directly related to the structure of blood vessels, their diameter, thickness and the elasticity of the walls.

The general drawback of all theories was that they were one-sided, their creators took into account only one direction of the organism's work and did not prove their experiments by experiment.

Conclusion

All the topics of sociological research concerning the identification of the connection between the temperament and the professional orientation of schoolchildren suggest a detailed and serious study of the individuality of each adolescent.

The German scientist Immanuel Kant, as an organic basis, distinguished the qualitative characteristics of the blood. All the psychological parameters of four well-known types were summarized and systematized by him. How to conduct your own sociological research? Examples of topics can be taken based on the characteristics of the classroom.

For example, you can analyze the attitude of schoolchildren to a healthy lifestyle, proper nutrition, bad habits. To conduct research, you can involve a school psychologist, teachers.
