How the kidneys ache: signs and symptoms. How to understand that kidneys are aching?

Each organ in the human body performs a certain function. For example, the kidneys are the most important worker in the isolation system. In this article I want to talk about how the kidneys are hurt: the signs and the main symptoms of this problem.

the main thing

It is worth mentioning that in medicine there is no such diagnosis as "a cold kidney". Most often, pain sensations in this organ can be felt by people because of the inflammatory process. Generally speaking, the outer part of the shell of this organ is very sensitive to various kinds of changes. Such transformations can occur due to stretching. The cause of this stretching is most often edema of the kidney, inflammatory processes, tumors, etc.

Symptom 1. Pain sensations

What to do and how to understand that kidneys are aching? In this case, a person is most often advised to listen to the place where it hurts. Pain sensations in this organ are localized mainly in the lumbar region (right and left). However, pain in this place can also indicate the presence of a completely different disease, for example, osteochondrosis. That is why it is impossible to establish an independent diagnosis on the basis of a symptom alone, which concerns pain sensations. After all, the wrong treatment in this case can lead to a deterioration in health.

The nature of pain (in most cases): dull, aching, monotonous. Pain can build up.

The nature of pain in the obstruction of the duct: acute, almost unbearable. However, most often localized in one side.

Symptom 2. Urine

We understand further how the kidneys ache. Symptoms that may indicate problems with this body are the amount of urine output. For a healthy person, this figure ranges between 700 ml - 2 liters.

  1. In certain renal diseases, the amount of fluid released can increase to 2.5 liters or more. Urine itself often becomes colorless, as if diluted with water.
  2. Some kidney diseases can lead to the fact that the volume of a person's liquid can decrease. Anxiety is less than 500 ml of urine per day. However, this symptom can also "talk" about other diseases of the genitourinary system or other organs.

The presence of blood in the urine may also indicate problems in the functioning of the kidneys.

Symptom 3. External manifestation

Still how to understand, what kidneys hurt? In this case, you can see if there are any external manifestations of this problem. What else can signal that the kidneys are working incorrectly?

  1. Decreased appetite.
  2. Vomiting and nausea.
  3. Itching of the skin of a person.

Why can such symptoms occur? The thing is that the kidneys pump a huge amount of blood for a day (up to 1700 liters). And sometimes the products of the breakdown of proteins and the metabolism of cells can lead to intoxication of the body. And this will already cause the above described external manifestations of kidney diseases.

Symptom 4. Increased thirst

What signs, when the kidneys are aching, can indicate problems in the work of this body? So, people can often experience an increased sense of thirst. This will happen because the amount of urine released can significantly increase. As a consequence, the body will not have enough fluids.

Symptom 5. Pressure increase

As a result of kidney disease , patients can also increase blood pressure. Why can this symptom arise? The thing is that the kidneys produce such an important hormone for the body, like renin (it directly affects the pressure increase). The excess, as well as the lack of a given hormone in the body, negatively affects the fluctuations in blood pressure.

Other symptoms

What are the symptoms of kidney disease in people? So, in addition to all the above, you need to specify three more important symptoms:

  1. Periodic increase in body temperature.
  2. Puffiness. In the mornings it will most often manifest itself in the eye area. Swelling of the legs and abdominal cavity is also possible.
  3. Losing a patient in weight.

Women

It should be said that in women, kidney disease should be treated separately. So, such problems often appear in pregnant women in the second half of the period of bearing a baby. These problems are explained in this case quite simply: a baby in the womb is growing, gradually there is an increase in pressure on the organs of the mother, including the kidneys. Therefore, there may be various problems and diseases related to this body. When the kidneys are squeezed, urine outflow from the organ can be disturbed, which causes the inflammatory process. Also pregnant in the morning can swell. Often there are frequent urge to urinate. These problems are not terrible, however, they need to be combated.

What are the signs of kidney disease in women who do not belong to the category described above? Symptomatology for diseases of this organ will be the same as described above.

The Men

We understand further how the kidneys ache. Signs of problems with this body in men have their own peculiarity. So, most often troubles with the kidneys in representatives of the strong half of mankind can arise due to certain diseases:

  1. Urethritis. In this case, there may be drawing pains that are localized in the lumbar region. Also in the urine you can find not only blood, but also pus.
  2. Older men may have urinary retention due to problems with the prostate gland. In this case, these problems are also associated with hypertension and acute pain in the lumbar region.
  3. Anxious bell for men: changes in the flow of urine. This can already indicate problems with the kidneys.
  4. Men are more often concerned about frequent urination at night. At the same time, the amount of fluid released becomes much less than normal.

Children

What are the symptoms of kidney disease in children? So, first of all I want to say that in children this disease often occurs in an erased form. However, there may be the following signs:

  1. Weakness, drowsiness, fatigue.
  2. The kid can feel pain in the lower back.
  3. In the morning, children can also have swelling (especially on the face).
  4. The nature of urine. The smell and color can change. Often in children with kidney disease is nocturnal enuresis (involuntary separation of urine at night).

What about the smallest crumbs? So, in children before the first year of life, it is possible to suspect kidney problems by the following indicators:

  1. Restless behavior.
  2. An increase in the size of the tummy.
  3. Change of urine. The smell and color will be different. With urine, pus and blood can also be excreted.
  4. In the mornings, the smallest children can have "bags" under their eyes.

Important!

Having worked out how the kidneys are hurt (signs of problems with this body), I want to say that with the first symptoms you need to apply for a doctor's help. Only a specialist can make the right diagnosis and prescribe competent treatment. Self-medication in this case can lead not only to significant health problems, but even to irreversible consequences.
