Norwegian terrorist Andreas Breivik Bering: biography, psychological portrait

This man was the initiator of a double terrorist attack that occurred in 2011 in Norway. His crimes were unprecedented, so the inhabitant of the northern European country - Andreas Breivik - suddenly became known throughout the world. He is guilty of the death of 77 people on the island of Uta and 8 residents of the capital during the explosion in Oslo. The public absolutely justifiably considered that his atrocities are terrible and inhuman. However, the criminal himself convinces everyone that by his actions he wanted to save the country from the Islamists who flooded Europe. One way or another, but for radical methods of fighting migrants, Andreas Breivik received a severe punishment, namely: 21 years of isolation from society. And it is possible that this term can be changed to life. What prompted the Norwegian to take such an unconventional solution to the problem of resettlement of Islamists in countries with an alien culture for them? What is the basis of his behavior? Let's consider this issue in more detail.

Biographical information

Breivik Anders Bering is the son of a diplomat. His mother worked as a nurse. "Norwegian Shooter" was born on February 13, 1979 in the Norwegian capital Oslo.

Andreas Breivik was not lucky to be brought up for a long time in a full-fledged family: two years after his birth, his parents divorced. The boy together with his half-sister and mother settled in the prestigious district of the capital - Skoyen. After some time, the mother of a future radical nationalist remarried a military man.

Andreas Breivik attended the elementary (Smestad), middle (Ris) and senior (Hartvig Nissen) schools. Then the youth remotely received higher education at the Norwegian School of Management.

Work experience

After studying, the guy got a job at the call center of the telecommunications company Telia. Then the young man established his own company, which was engaged in processing and storage of data. It seemed that the biography of Andreas Breivik is the best, but in 2008 his offspring become bankrupt.

The "Norwegian shooter" himself claimed that during his life he had to change many jobs. He claimed to have worked as a manager at ACTA Economical Counseling, was a member of Telia Norway AS, and the head of Behring & Kerner Marketing DA, which specialized in telephone services. In addition, the young man worked in a firm that was engaged in the installation of advertising accounts, and for some time worked as a bank clerk. Some media reported that Andreas Breivik was even the guardian of the order, although the "Norwegian shooter" himself denies this, claiming that he learned shooting skills while serving in the ranks of the national army.

Political Beliefs

In his youth, the terrorist propagated ultra-right views, joining the ranks of the Fremskrittspartiet party. He even took part in several municipal elections as a candidate from the Rights.

Having reached adulthood, Breivik Anders Behring turned into an ardent nationalist who became an opponent of peaceful coexistence of representatives of different cultures, faiths, ethnic groups and nationalities. Once he wrote in his microblogging: "One person with strong convictions is equivalent in strength to thousands of others, who share common interests. I am a supporter of nationalism. "

"Norwegian shooter" willingly started accounts on Internet resources of national and anti-Muslim orientation, convincing everyone that creating a multicultural society is a real utopia. He also criticized journalists who were not patriotic about the Scandinavian people and showed tolerance to guests from the Islamic world.

Manifesto

He consolidated his national ideas in a document entitled "2083: European Declaration of Independence". In it, he was extremely negative about the model of "cultural-Marxist multiculturalism" and expressed his unwillingness to coexist with Islamists. The Declaration of Independence was translated into several languages. The Breivik Manifesto in Russian is freely available, its provisions have been repeatedly discussed by representatives of the Russian public.

Psychological picture

After the terrorist acts, police officers rushed to interview neighbors and journalists to provide the most detailed information about the identity of the suspect. They realized that Anders Breivik was a calm, well-balanced person. However, he had few friends, and he preferred not to spread to others about his life. Among the hobbies of the young man were shooting with firearms, sports and dances.

Also, the young man had no experience in dealing with the opposite sex, finally realizing that women "would drive him off the planned road".

Terrorist act on the island

Of course, not everyone can know who Andreas Breivik is. What did this man do? This question can also be asked by people who have never heard of the "Norwegian arrow". In any case, it is necessary to talk about those terrible atrocities that took place through the fault of this man. At first, he made an explosion in the Norwegian capital, and after a while went to kill people on the island of Uta. He carefully prepared for the crime, in advance getting the police uniform and acquiring weapons. Subsequently, the man will explain that he bought a carbine for hunting deer. As cartridges, he chose bursting bullets. On the ferry crossing, Breivik showed a fake ID and introduced himself as a security official, who was allegedly sent to the island to conduct safety briefings in connection with the recent events in Oslo. After the tourists arrived to meet with Breivik, he opened fire on them. People panicked: they hid behind buildings and jumped into the water to stay alive. But the "Norwegian shooter" aimed at even those who tried to swim to the other side. The teenagers were seized by the horror of what was happening: they tried to communicate by phone with friends and family. The offender fired for one and a half hours, after which he surrendered to law enforcement officers. On the island there was a huge number of victims.

This is a cruel and illegal act committed 32-year-old Norwegian Andreas Breivik. What did this villain, everyone who condemns terrorism should know.

Terrorist act in the capital

Now let's talk about the explosion that took place in the Norwegian capital. Radical also carefully planned this crime. He in advance laid the bomb in a minibus, which was parked near the government buildings on Grabegata Street. Parking the vehicle, Breivik was in the form of a guard of order, so as not to cause any suspicion among the guards. As a result of this act of intimidation, several people died.

Investigation and court

"Norwegian shooter" did not deny his guilt in committing acts of terrorism. He justified his actions with a simple necessity. So Breivik wanted to frighten officials who allowed migration from the East.

A forensic psychiatric commission was appointed, which was to determine the degree of sanity of the terrorist. Experts came to the conclusion that the Norwegian radical does not give a report to his actions, therefore he can not serve a real punishment. Many experts were inclined to believe that the accused suffers from paranoid schizophrenia.

However, a few months later, on the initiative of the judiciary, a second investigation was conducted of the mental state of the suspect, which resulted in the conclusion: Andreas Breivik is not insane. The psychiatrist Friedrich Malt, who was involved in the criminal process, stressed that the terrorist has some mental disorders, but there is no talk of schizophrenia.

In April 2012, a hearing was held on the fact of committing terrorist acts in Norway. The verdict was severe: Breivik is guilty and must spend 21 years of his subsequent life in a strict regime prison.

Isolation conditions

For the sake of justice, it should be noted that the conditions of detention of the "Norwegian shooter" in prison are very sparing, despite the gravity of the crimes committed by him. He lives in a fairly spacious cell (31 square meters), which includes a bedroom, a gym, a cabinet with a TV. Breivik can not communicate with other criminals, only with the prison staff, and then once a week and not more than an hour.

Such conditions of isolation from the society to the terrorist seemed inhuman, and he filed a lawsuit in a court, in which he demanded that he cease to be fed with half-finished products and serve cold coffee. In addition, he was not satisfied with the outdated model of the game console. But the most important claim was that he was not allowed to communicate with friends.

The court partially acknowledged the claim of the Norwegian radical.

Conclusion

Of course, many would like to know whether Anders Breivik will be released before the deadline. The opinion of lawyers on this issue is unequivocal: potentially this can happen only if the court finds that the "Norwegian shooter" has ceased to be a threat to society. It is not excluded that the criminal will stay in the cell until the end of his days.

Most of the society continues to believe that Breivik did not know what he did when he shot people. However, a quite logical question arises: "Why does a mentally unhealthy person have so many sane supporters?" Unfortunately, history knows many cases when people with mental illness are glorified all over the world for unprecedented and radical actions. The situation is complicated by the fact that they have followers who also want to challenge society.
