Herring: recipes for pickling and marinating fish

Fish dishes must necessarily enter the diet of each person, even if not every day, but at least once a week. And it does not matter what kind of person's preferences - be it red fish, river or herring: recipes for cooking tasty and healthy fish will be for everyone.

Separately, I want to mention herring. From it, of course, anything you do not cook, but for salting it is the most it! Although you can fry the herring in breading, fry and mix with lemon juice, mustard and dill and so on. Many people do not even know how much can be done from ordinary herring. But still, salted herring is a classic, time-tested and not lost among other delicious dishes.

How nice it is to come home and see on the table still a steaming boiled potato and a salted herring. Some like salting, others like more salted herring. The recipe for cooking one or another dish can be found without problems: in a cookbook or on the Internet. Here is one of the simplest recipes for preparing a salted herring. We take three pieces of medium-sized frozen herring, we prepare a brine: in one liter of water, with a boil we lower a glass of salt, two teaspoons of sugar, a couple of laurel leaves, and peppercorn. The brine must be cooled, otherwise the herring in it will not only become salted, but it will also be cooked. Then we lower the herring into it and put it in a cool place for twelve hours. This time is better cut for lovers of salted fish to eight to ten hours. So our herring is ready, you do not need to search for recipes anymore, you will definitely like it!

In addition to salted herring, it is very tasty at home, and the herring is pickled. The recipe for its preparation is as follows: we clean the salted herring, wash it, remove the large bones and peel. Next, the herring is cut into neat little pieces and placed on the bottom of a flat container. We prepare marinade from water, refined oil, vinegar or lemon juice (acid), dill greenery, ground black pepper. Then pour the herring prepared with marinade and let it soak for several hours. If desired, you can add other spices to the herring. Recipes of such herrings must necessarily be in service with every mistress. After all, where is the guarantee that the herring bought in the store will have to taste? And your own production of herring, the recipes of which you yourself have chosen, will always please your family and friends who came to visit.

But even if the store bought a tasteless herring, it can be "brought to mind." For example - marinate to your taste with onions, peppers and sour cream. Or use herring for cooking all known and beloved "coat". But herring under the fur coat - this is not the only salad from this fish, you can cook fish salad, salad Kerch and even herring in sugar! And the herring is also good for cooking fish oil, or otherwise - herring caviar. Unfamiliar for many and unusual dish - a jellied herring, so you can safely put it in front of guests - they will be pleasantly surprised.

Plus pickled herring in the fact that it practically splits bones and therefore it is nice and not troublesome. In salted herring, of course, much more bones. But if you cook herring at home, you can remove almost all the bones from it.

You can pickle herring in various ways. Recipes of different authors can contain all kinds of ingredients. For example, some add mustard, and someone prefers a mayonnaise pickle. You can add pieces of lemon, parsley leaves, coriander or even mint.

Salted or pickled herring, the recipes of which are given above, prepared with your own hands, will perfectly suit the everyday table and will be an excellent snack on the festive table.
