Finds of World War II - historical value, attracting "black" archaeologists

The past century was the concentration of a huge number of diverse events, most of which radically influenced the course of history. The twentieth century was both joyful and sad, especially for our people: the February and October revolutions, the First and Second World Wars, the Great Patriotic War , repression, the Iron Curtain, the wars in Afghanistan and Chechnya, the disintegration of the USSR and many other events. Millions of human lives took the last century of the second millennium.

What is it for?

In order for each generation to remember its origins and events that have gone into oblivion, historian scholars collect the material evidence of each landmark event. Finds of World War II, which are constantly being revealed to the world by treasure hunters and archaeologists throughout Europe, are evidences of the terrible grief that befell the population of 62 countries of the world. According to official figures, 58 million people died during the war. On the territory of 40 countries, excavations are under way to find more evidence and to find out as much information as possible about that terrible time.

Military Archeology

It should be noted that military archeology is a separate type of process of searching for historical values. Show the world the findings of the Second World War and not pay for it with health or in some cases with life - two goals going side by side. After all, often during archaeological excavations, emergency situations occur when the shells found in the ground explode. Therefore it is very important to be well prepared for the expedition. Organized groups of rangers go to the battlefield and with metal detectors they try to find out any evidence of the events that happened at that time.

Types of archaeologists. "Black" Pathfinders

Finds of World War II - the object of hunting a huge number of people, most of which attracts not their historical value, but the material benefits that can be obtained by reselling the treasure. Along with ordinary archaeologists, the so-called "black" colleagues occupy a huge niche. This category of people is mostly interested in cemeteries and burials and does not disdain them to desecrate. In 99% of cases they show interest in German finds. Based on information obtained from reliable sources by fraudulent means, "black" trackers find weapons, ammunition, hygiene items, insignia and personal belongings. All such finds of World War II, photos of which these people are posting on the Internet, leave the auction sometimes for crazy money. On the found values of "black" archaeologists do not report - the lack of permission to search for works threatens seekers of quick profit by imprisonment up to 6 years and a huge fine. Therefore, it is very difficult to catch such people.

"Reds", "white" and "gray" archaeologists

In addition to the "black", there are also "white", "red" and "gray" rangers. The first category of people (of course, we are not talking about the "black") is not so much looking for historical values, as the finding and reburial of soldiers who died in that difficult time. These archaeologists collaborate with many organizations and museums around the world. "Red" trackers - a kind of enthusiasts. For them, the most important thing is not the final result of the search, but the process itself. The last category of archaeologists is a mixture of "white" and "black" pathfinders. In his own way, presenting the concept of good and evil, they in their own way embody it in life. They, like others, are also interested in the finds of the Second World War. The year 2013 was a landmark in military archeology. This time the attention of historians and interested public was turned to the Tver region. It was there, under Rzhev, 50 military dugouts were discovered. It is preliminary established that they are German. These findings of the Second World War were discovered by the "black" trackers. Therefore, what will probably be found after the marauders, is unlikely to become a museum exhibit.
