Coquette for children's dress crochet. The skirt scheme
Knowing the skills of crocheting allows you to quickly and beautifully create a variety of clothing, soft toys and interior items. Advantages of most techniques for the hook can be called the possibility of changing the direction of knitting, the presence of only one loop, as well as the specificity of the canvas itself.
When crocheting, the canvas in most cases is slightly stiffer than when working with knitting needles. It does not collapse into a tube, does not shrink and is not so deformed, so when crocheting flat parts they can be applied to the pattern and perform adding / subtracting, focusing on the drawn contours.
Children's dresses and their specificity
Many girls begin to have an interest in crochet when they become mums. Children's things are very small and from the beginning to the end they can be made literally in the evening. In addition, the child proportions are significantly different from adults, and when knitting clothes, one does not have to puzzle over how to trim a product or make a sleeve of a regular shape.
In this article, we will talk about how to tie a coquette for a children's dress crochet. A coquette is the top part of the clothes (dresses, sweaters, sweaters), which has a different color, style of execution, or in some other way is separated from the rest of the product. There are several types of coquette:
- Round.
- Quadrilateral (or square).
- Bound by a flat cloth.
- Consisting of separate fragments.
Coquette for children's dress crochet: knitting in a circle
This coquette looks most festive. Her knitting is not difficult, especially if there is a suitable scheme and the master knows the skills of circular knitting. However, it often happens that the skirt scheme of a children's dress, crochet bound, does not match with the chosen yarn, the number of said rows is not enough or the tinker simply does not like the proposed pattern. In this case, you have to connect fantasy and start experiments.
A coquette for a children's dress, crocheted in a circle, can be based on the pattern of any circular napkin. Just need to take into account a few points:
- You need to link a small sample to calculate the number of loops per 10 cm of canvas.
- The first row of coquette will be a series of napkins, which is 6-9 cm distant from the center. The diameter of the finished neck will then be 12-18 cm, depending on the age of the child and the model of the dress.
- Do not choose napkins with too large patterns, because the children's coquette does not have enough rows for its implementation, and in the unfinished form it will look "cut off."
The diagram below shows a very successful coquette.
Quadrangular coquette
Such a coquette is the easiest to manufacture, it can easily be adapted to any product. The figures below show a knitting pattern for a quadrangular coquette for children's dresses (crocheted) and a ready-made dress with such an element.
Do not confuse such concepts as square and quadrangular coquette. The first is very simple: the canvas is divided into four parts (four corners) and the loops are added, forming right angles. An angle of 90 degrees is formed by tying three loops from one loop of the previous row. The resulting canvas is perfectly flat, but its significant disadvantage is the protruding shoulders.
By the way, for the same reason the scheme of the round coquette in the previous paragraph does not represent an ideal circle.
Straight coquette: solid canvas
If you want to save time and effort, you can use the easiest way to knit a children's coquette: tie it straight.
How to knit coquette for dresses
Some coquette knit as an independent product, which is then sewn to the details of the dress. This primarily applies to dresses without sleeves or festive outfits.
Coquits, connected together with the rest of the canvas, can also be used for summer models, although they are more often used for knitting dresses with sleeves. A coquette for a children's dress crocheted, connected by this method, allows you to very organically fit the sleeves into the dress cut, avoiding the need to unfasten the pellet and sew it. Externally dresses with coquette look like they are connected by the method of raglan (in fact, this is it).
Methods of connecting the coquettes with the product
The above-described coquette for children's crochet dresses can be linked in two ways:
- Top down.
- On the contrary - from the bottom up.
The first method is used more often. Its specificity is that you can start knitting with a small chain of air loops and the method of expanding the canvas to move on to the subsequent knitting of the details of the gear, back and sleeves. For this, the coquette, tied up to the necessary sizes, is divided into four canvases and continues knitting each of them. Quite often the front and back are knitted together with one cloth, connecting them with a circular pattern.
To continue the production of a dress with a coquette tied from below, all the finished parts (front, back and sleeves) are connected sequentially with the aid of a circular row. Then they continue knitting the coquette, observing the principle of cutting the loops. For this you can even use the same schemes, the main thing is to keep the number of cutting loops in each row (after all, on schemes they are added).
The described bases of knitting of a coquette for children's dresses by a crochet can serve as help for manufacturing of a dress of any model: from a warm winter product to an airy elegant dress.
