Computer diagnostics of the engine - the solution of many problems

Diagnosis is an integral part of any repair, be it an engine or suspension. The mechanic first has to figure out what exactly needs to be disassembled and replaced. You can make a diagnosis, for example, on the eye: examined the detail, thought, made the right conclusions and forward, for the work. Or choose the "method of tyke" - tried to twist here, if it did not work, then you can try to adjust something else and so on. But the most accurate in the testimony is the computer diagnostics of the engine.

In order to produce it, you will need special equipment to diagnose the engine, which will detect almost all the malfunctions of the car. For this work, motor testers or scanners are provided. With the help of the first device, various quantities are checked and measured. The scanner is an external computer, which connects to a special connector, using a cable. After that, information about the error codes that occur in the car is read. It is also possible to control the actuators. When the car is sent to identify the causes of any malfunctions in the system, it is worth remembering that even the most simple problem requires at least half an hour of scanning by the scanner. As a result, it turns out that they just forgot to connect it, and the problem remains unresolved.

Often car enthusiasts are mistaken, thinking that simply erasing the error code, when computer diagnostics of the engine is being performed, will correct the problem. When executing this action, the error will still occur at each start-up, since the electronic control unit (ECU) checks each time the engine is turned on and can distribute the codes either randomly or static. The motor tester shows various light signals that need to be interpreted in the diagnosis of the car. This work is more often done by skilled and knowledgeable experts. With its use, the time for diagnosis is increased by 2-3 times.

Hence it follows that the diagnosis of the engine is a rather difficult process, it is not necessary to require the specialists to work quickly. Of course, they can do this, but in a short period of time and information will be "fake". Therefore, it is worth thinking about what is more advantageous: wait a couple of hours and find out the exact problem or pay a lot of money and do nothing.
