Bandages on the head with knitting needles: sketches, models, photo

To tie an armband around the head is a task that almost all knitters can overpower without exaggeration. Many articles on knitting contain a similar statement, but here it is really justified. By and large, the bandage is a strip of knitted fabric, sewn on the side or made round and without any suture.

What yarn can be used for dressings?

As a rule, we knit a bandage on the head with knitting needles to insulate during the off-season. When the hats are removed, but the weather is still too cold to completely eliminate the headgear from your wardrobe, a minimized version of the hat is allowed into the case.

Bandages wrap around the head, covering ears and forehead, providing the necessary warmth and not crushing the hair. Material for knitting bandages should be chosen the same as for caps: with a high content of wool or angora. The natural fibers in the filament must be at least 30%, otherwise the accessory simply will not perform its task.

The thickness of the yarn can be absolutely anything. True, strands thicker than 100 m / 100 g give the knot a certain rudeness. If this is not a planned effect, then it's better to choose something thinner. As for many other knitted products, yarn thickness of 250-300 m / 100 g should be considered optimal.

How to orient in patterns and schemes

Modern masters have access to all the knitting wisdom accumulated over the long history of this craft. Now it is not necessary to flip through the magazine for the hundredth time with the patterns studied along and across. Ornament can be chosen absolutely any, here the knitter's experience and skills become decisive.

Equally well looked and quite simple, and decorated with intricate interlacing knitted dressings on the head with knitting needles. Schemes of several patterns are suggested below.

Most often such accessories are knitted in short rows, located across the product, so it is more convenient to use ornaments with longitudinal rapports.

Sometimes you can find other ways of knitting (for example, round-about), but they are a little more complicated and will not be considered by us.

The simplest models of dressings

To quickly connect the functional and practical bandage, you can apply an elementary rubber band 1: 1 or 2: 2. They are bilateral, which excludes the presence of the front and the underside. They also give the canvas a certain density. The disadvantage of such bandages can be called their unoriginality and the lack of "raisins."

Also often choose a pattern of "honeycomb" or "rice" in order to knit the bandages on the head with knitting needles. The patterns of these ornaments are extremely popular.

Depending on the thickness of the yarn, 12-18 loops are picked up on the spokes and work according to the chosen scheme, forming an even cloth. When it reaches 50 cm in length, the work is stopped.

The bandage is stitched from behind and tied along the edge by columns without a crochet or "step by step". However, the last stage can not be performed and leave the bandage as is.

Use of Arans for the manufacture of dressings

Aranas, braids or plaits - this is all one name for design patterns, consisting of interlacing loops. You can apply elementary or more complex braids, as well as their combination, to get really interesting headbands on the head. The schemes of the simplest aranes are proposed below. Here is shown a braid, which is formed by interlacing six loops to the right. The interlacing interval is 10 rows.

Such a braid can be placed on the bandage the way the next photo suggests.

Here a combination of two patterns is used: braids and "bucla".

Knitting: a bandage on the head with knitting needles

To create such an accessory, you need to dial 16 spokes on the spokes (including the edges). Each first loop is removed, and the last one is always the front one.

Stages of knitting:

  1. 1 LICP, 1 ISPP, 1 LICP, 1 FOUNDATION, 6 PERSONS, 1 ISPP, 1 PERSON, 1 FOUNDATION, 1 PERSON.
  2. According to the figure.
  3. 1 ISDNP, 1 LICP, 2 ISPP, 6 LICP, 2 ISPP, 1 FACILITY, 1 FOUNDATION.
  4. According to the figure.
  5. Repeat row 1-4.
  6. 1 LICP, 1 APSP, 1 FACE, 1 FOUNDATION, 6 PERSONALIZED cross to the right, 1 RIHP, 1 PERSON, 1 FOUNDATION, 1 PERSON.
  7. According to the figure.
  8. Repeat the rapport from the 1st to the 11th row until the canvas is 50cm high.

At this point, all the loops need to be closed and sew the edges of the dressing from the wrong side. On both sides of the edge tie a "step by step".

Creating complex combinations and ornaments

Combining different patterns or coming up with your own variants of interlacing, you can tie extremely beautiful bandages on your head with knitting needles. Schemes of several rather complex patterns are given below.

In their basis one principle: in the center place any large element, and along the edges - simple background ornaments or narrow arans from several loops.

Considering the pattern of the next pattern, you can see that it is very wide.

It will be convenient to separate it and apply only one of the two components for the bandage: the braids in the central part or the braid with the edge.

The bandage on the head is knit rather quickly, and after making several such accessories, the craftsman will acquire many valuable skills.
