Aphids on the plum, signs of wood damage

Insects that attack fruit trees, pale green, covered with fluff. When the aphids are affected, the leaves of the tree begin to twist and dry up, the shoots become damaged, the tree begins to noticeably lag behind in growth.

The families of aphids settle on the underside of the leaves, which gradually become colorless, the edges begin to twist. And the small fruits that have appeared as a result begin to decay and fall off.

How to get rid of pests and how to treat plum from aphids

Aphid on the plum lays eggs next to the kidneys, into the bark of the branches. Larvae tolerate winter well and begin to wake up at the moment of appearance of the first buds. During this period, it is necessary to process the fruit tree for the first time in order to prevent further development of aphid larvae. Aphid on the plum gives a new generation every 14 days, so try to thoroughly monitor the complete destruction of pests.

In specialized stores you can buy special tools such as "Iskra", "Fufanon", "Alatar". These drugs are insecticides and well help from the invasion of harmful insects. When carrying out work, try to spray the emulsion with the underside of the leaves, where the pests are located directly.

If you do not want to use chemicals, then you can use herbal remedy for aphids on the sink. Experienced gardeners are advised to use plants such as chamomile, garlic, green potato tops. From these plants make tincture and spray directly onto diseased leaves.
Aphid on the sink also does not tolerate tobacco dust mixed with ash or slaked lime. You can use onion husks (200 grams pour a bucket of warm water, insist about 5 days).

Reduce the reproduction of aphids by using foliar fertilization. They use potassium sulfate or superphosphate (approximately 3 tablespoons are dissolved in 10 liters of water).
Plum can give up to 40 kg of berries from a tree. Feed the tree annually in spring and autumn, cut the crown correctly, loosen the soil, lime the soil (the tree does not tolerate high acidity). In general, take care and enjoy a plentiful plum harvest every summer.
