Youth Theater on Fontanka. History of creation
For many years the Youth Theater on Fontanka has enjoyed immense popularity among residents and guests of St. Petersburg. He attracts spectators with some unusual energy, combining exquisite imagery, dynamics, incredible expressiveness, simplicity and at the same time sharpness of the word. The creative life is constantly boiling in the theater, "cabbage-makers" are being held here, all new performances are being rehearsed and presented to the spectators' court, each of which is truly a masterpiece.
Creation of the Youth Theater on the Fontanka River
The history of its occurrence is connected with Izmaylovsky garden, where once a small boardwalk was equipped. It was on its stage that the actors' troupes and orchestras demonstrated their talent to the audience. Already at that time prominent artists, actors and art directors worked in the Izmailovsky Garden, attracting audiences with bold theatrical experiments and unusual performances.
The first leader is V. Malyshchitsky
In 1979, Vladimir Afanasyevich is the chief director. It is believed that it was from this time that the Youth Theater on the Fontanka began its history. A year later the premiere of the play based on the play by Holler entitled "One hundred Bestuzhev Brothers" was successfully performed. We can say that it was a kind of studio for young actors and directors, whose main task was to search for a new word in theatrical art. At this time, Vasily Frolov, Nina Usatova, Alexander Mironchik, Oleg Popkov, Vladimir Khalif worked here.
The life of the theater under the leadership of E. Padve
In 1983, the chair of the chief director took on a new mentor. The first play, which appeared on the stage under the direction of E. Padwe, was Vampilov's "Duck Hunt". His performances: "Five corners" by S. Kokovkin, "The Evening" by A. Dudarev, "The Player" by F. Dostoyevsky - were awarded at various festivals and competitions. The performances of the Youth Theater troupe are known not only in our country, but also abroad. However, experiencing a creative and spiritual crisis, Efim Mikhailovich in 1989, refuses to hold the position of leader.
