What is a quote and how to use it
Often in essays and other texts it is required to quote literally someone's words or excerpts from the text. This is done to confirm your opinion, for greater expressiveness of what has been said. This excerpt from other texts is called a quote.

Words taken from another author must be enclosed in quotation marks or as a direct speech. You can use quoting in the form of indirect speech, then the author's words begin with a small letter. The poetic lines are not enclosed in quotation marks, but are written with observance of the rules of versification.
