Outsider is ... Understand the concept
Quite often we hear the word "outsider". This is not surprising, because we live in a society that, as is well known, is very heterogeneous. It has a place for leaders, and for average people, and, of course, for outcasts.
Probably, there have always been, are and will be those who for one reason or another did not fit into the collective. These people are even scientifically designated. So, an outsider is an individual who, due to various circumstances, appears to be forced out of the society in which he exists.
Why do such people appear? Remember, in your class there was almost certainly someone who was bullied or morally, or, which is especially scary, physically. So what is the reason for this attitude to man? The fact is that each layer of society is divided into even smaller layers (or niches), in which a certain number of places are assigned to people with different statuses. For example, there always is a social group such as "elite". In school it is usually girls and boys from well-off families. There is also the so-called "middle peasant" - children, who are not particularly notable, who are on good terms with classmates and teachers. And, of course, a special place is given to outsiders. It is curious that they can not exist at all. However, the number of more than three also has no right to life, for such a society will immediately become known as "a bunch of losers."
Do rogues have any similar symptoms? How to determine the most likely that a person (a child or an adult) is a typical outsider? There is no single answer to these questions. However, as a rule, these are people with physical disabilities, closed-minded, who do not have strong abilities in anything. That is, they were originally victims. On the other hand, there are cases when the reasons for a negative attitude are, on the contrary, uncommon abilities. That is why among the rogue there are often excellent students.
Despite the fact that the outsider is mainly the problem of the collective, which consists of school-age individuals, both in higher education institutions and at work, this phenomenon is also quite widespread.
Those who are worried or just interested in the problem, which we just outlined in the article, I want to advise you to read one book. It is called "Geniuses and outsiders" (author - M. Gladwell). We hope that it will help you understand many issues, and also become stronger.
