NDC for a mixed type: features of the disease
NDC (neurocirculatory dystonia) is a functional disorder in the work of the cardiovascular system of a neurogenic nature. It is based on changes in neuroendocrine regulation, causing the emergence of various clinical symptoms, which become more pronounced under the influence of stress.
There are the following types of NDCs:
• Cardiac - includes arrhythmic and cardiac types;
• hypertensive;
• hypotensive;
• mixed.
The latter type of disease is characterized by cardiac neurosis, which is combined with changes in vascular tone (hypotension or transient hypertension).
Risk factors for the appearance of neurocirculatory dystonia:
• heredity;
• acute or chronic stress;
• fatigue (both physical and mental);
• chronic infections of the nasopharynx;
• history of head trauma;
Chronic injuries of internal organs;
• endocrine pathologies and hormonal failures;
• allergic diseases;
• low level of immune defense of the body;
• Smoking;
• work at the computer.
This type of disease manifests itself as symptoms that are characteristic of other types of neurocirculatory dystonia. The clinic distinguishes cardial syndrome, characterized by pain in the heart and arising after physical exertion. If cardialgia is accompanied by hypertension of the sympathetic department of the nervous system, the patients are restless, pale, complain of palpitations and high blood pressure, chills and fever. NDC of mixed type, proceeding with the activation of the parasympathetic nervous system, is manifested by bradycardia and low arterial pressure, hyperemia of the face. It is worth noting that the pain in the heart with NTSD is poorly removed by nitroglycerin or validol, but disappears after taking analgesics.
In this disease, respiratory syndrome can also occur, in which episodic patients feel shortage of air, complain of dizziness, and frequent and shallow breathing. In addition, asthenic manifestations are recorded. Patients experience constant weakness, they are disturbed by coordination of movements, mood deteriorates, memory and attention are reduced. May also be troubled by headaches, temporary visual impairment, tinnitus and cold extremities. Sometimes subfebrile temperature is observed. It should be noted that NDCs of a mixed type can occur with autonomic crises, which often occur suddenly at night, when the patient is asleep.
To confirm the presence of neurocirculatory dystonia, it is necessary to exclude all diseases of organic nature, which may have a similar clinical picture. Sometimes the diagnosis of NDC is made according to the results of ECG tests with hyperventilation and dosed physical exertion, or when ECG changes after administration of beta-blockers or potassium chloride to the patient.
Treatment of NTSD should begin with the normalization of the working and rest regime, the rejection of bad habits and the organization of a balanced diet. NDCs of a mixed type require an integrated approach to treatment with the use of appropriate medications, physiotherapy, physiotherapy and traditional medicine.
