Tulip tulips in the home - fresh flowers in a pot

The tulip got its name because of the similarity to the headdress of the turban, common in the East. The flower is mainly planted in the garden in the open ground, however, one can "teach" the flowers to bloom in the room. This process is called forcing out tulips at home.

Optimum conditions for the distillation of flowers are created in greenhouses, but with great desire and diligence, tulips can be successfully grown on a windowsill. To do this, use the best varieties. To make the outbreak successful, you should follow certain rules.

Firstly, in the beginning of winter tulips after the spent forcing bloom worse, and in the spring they blossom faster and more splendidly. Dyeing flowers should be done after the preliminary preparation of plants. For this purpose, early varieties with a shorter rest period are best suited. But, if desired, using drying, freezing, using warm baths and other tricks, the rest period can be artificially reduced and produced during necessary time.

Tulips are bred with seeds, babies and bulbs. If you use seeds for reproduction, then the first flowers can be seen only after five years, this method is used for breeding new varieties. Tulip vygonka at home is made with the help of bulbs. This requires large, healthy, dense bulbs, which are kept in the unfrozen basement or in the refrigerator until the beginning of distillation.

For planting tulips, there is no need for large pots, small pieces of up to 14 cm in diameter are fine. As a substrate, take sod land, humus and sand in a proportion of 3: 4: 4. You can also purchase in the store a special primer for bulbous plants.

Tulip vygonka at home is made for one and a half to two months before the beginning of the unlabeled date of flowering. First of all, early varieties are sown, after - later.

Usually in a single pot 3 bulbs are placed, which can not be touched with the walls of the pot and with each other. Bulbous tops should not be sprinkled, they should be above the ground. Usually the planting is carried out in September, after which the tulips should be at rest. For this, pots with bulbs of tulips are buried in a cold cellar in the sand or in the garden in peat. In the first case, a layer of sand above the pot should be 5 cm, in the second - not less than 10 cm.
After the emergence of shoots, the plates are brought into the house. The optimum temperature will be 12 degrees, and the place needs to be shaded, the plant does not like direct sun. Flowers should also be located away from batteries, they should be protected from drafts. To increase the flowering period, tulips for the night are taken to a colder room.

Watering is carried out for 2 days with tap water to prevent chlorine from entering. Do not use well or boiled liquid. Also, for better absorption of plant roots, water should be at room temperature (optimally 20 ° C). During flowering and growth, the soil should be moistened all the time, it is also useful to feed flowers with liquid fertilizer.

After the end of flowering, you must not stop leaving: you must allow the bulbs to mature. At this time tulips should be fed and watered until the leaves fade. These bulbs are excavated, dried and stored in a cool place. Such bulbs next year will be useful for garden planting. However, the forcing of tulips at home from this material is no longer possible.

Today there are many different varieties and types of tulips, all kinds of colors and sizes. For distillation, hybrid low-growth early varieties, for example, simple or double early tulip, Kaufman, Greig, are best suited.
The same way with tulips, the narcissus is forced out in the home.
