Trees of Russia and Shrubs

Almost the entire territory of Russia is located in a temperate climatic zone, where in winter snow and frost predominate. Therefore, evergreen deciduous plants can be found here only in winter gardens or arboretums, where the climate corresponding to the tropics and subtropics is created and maintained artificially.

Speaking of coniferous trees, it should be noted that they are evergreen only in appearance, since, like all other vegetation growing on the territory of immense Russia, in winter they stop growing and "fall asleep". Their leaves, having the appearance of needles, do not completely fall down, but are in the stage of "sleep".

Trees of Russia can be divided into two groups: coniferous and deciduous. But most experts treat forests in this area as mixed. Coniferous trees of Russia differ in their variety. This includes various species of spruce, fir, pine, cedar, and larch. In turn, coniferous forests can be conditionally divided into light coniferous and dark coniferous. In the first grow mainly such trees of Russia as different kinds of larch and common pine, there are also spruce and fir. Coniferous forests on the territory of our country prevail in the taiga.

The most common forests are mixed, in which you can see both coniferous and deciduous representatives of the flora. But there are also purely deciduous, in which it is practically impossible to meet a coniferous specimen. Deciduous tree species are also subdivided into broadleaf and small-leaved.

To broad-leaved should be attributed oak, horse chestnut, maple, linden, ash. Small-leaved trees of Russia - this birch, gray alder, mountain ash, cherry, willow and some others.

Almost all trees, except for willow, linden, maple, apple, pear, plum, apricot, are pollinated by the wind. The representatives listed above are required to pollute "visits" of insects.

All trees multiply by seeds. And in some of them the formation of a large number of seeds occurs annually, for example, in birch, alder, poplar, and in some, such as oak, pine, spruce - every few years.

Most coniferous trees do not have the ability to vegetatively propagate, that is, through shoots and root shoots. But the poplar, willow, aspen can not only actively give root offspring, but even abundant offspring from the broken branch buried!

Talking about how different types of trees of the same breed, depending on the place of their growth, can be judged by the example of all the familiar birch - the symbol of Russia.

After all, this fragile white-barrel beauty of the middle band is not at all like a mighty tree bearing the same name, but growing in the Siberian taiga. And how can you compare a tree grown in the taiga with a dwarf birch tundra? The latter more likely resembles a stunted bush than a tree from which it is possible to build a house, to make furniture, to carve souvenirs.

And, of course, thanks to the work of breeders, all the fruit and berry garden trees differ in species diversity . Only the varieties of apple trees can not be counted! And there are even interesting "mixed varieties" of garden trees, such as a pear-tree or apricot plum.

Shrubs of Russia are represented on the territory of our country is almost wider than trees. It is necessary to name Kalina, acacia, cherry, thorn, raspberry, rosehip, barberry, gooseberry, currant, lilac, hawthorn, white dernum, honeysuckle, chubushnik, vesicle, irgu, forsytia, spruce, oak, rose, juniper, aronia, grapes, willow basket , Jasmine. Many shrubs give tasty and healthy fruits - berries, which are consumed not only by people, but also by animals, as well as by birds.
