The Temple of Anastasia the Obsceneurs in Warm Stan is the only church in the capital in honor of this saint

In one of the districts of Moscow - Teply Stan - there is a church of St. Anastasia the Obsceneurs. Residents of the area have long dreamed of a church, they turned to various authorities, but the requests of believers were satisfied only at the end of the last century.

In the absence of the temple, people gathered in the wasteland, read prayers. Later the service was started by Archpriest Boris Razveev. The priest specially came to the construction site to perform divine services. With the formation of the parish in place of the future church, there appeared a worship cross and a shed, in which the akathists read.

The temple of Anastasia the Obsceneurs in the Warm Town was built in 2003. The first rector of the church was Alexander Kovtun, who performed a moleben on Palm Sunday.

The history of the construction of the temple would be incomplete without a story about the founder of the parish.

Creation of the Orthodox community

The initiative of the unification of the Christians of the Warm Stan belongs to Father Sergius. In 1996, the holy father was sent to serve in Chechnya, where he was captured. The prayer of Anastasia Uzozreshitelnitsa helped to withstand the tests.

Upon his return from the captivity of Fr. Sergius took monasticism, took the name of Philip and was concerned with the formation of the Christian community. Approximately at the same time, representatives of another association asked the authorities to build a church of the Kaluga Icon of the Mother of God. As a result, it was decided to build the temple of Anastasia the Obsceneur in the Warm Town with a side-chapel of the icon of the Kaluga Mother of God. Construction began in 2002.

The first baby, baptized in the temple, was called Anastasia. A real miracle among the parishioners is the appearance in the church of the Kaluga icon of the Virgin (13th century). Anastasia's mother died, and the girl in her aspirations was not supported by her father or husband, for which the saint went not of her own free will. A lot of suffering made Anastasia from the unloved. It became especially difficult after the death of his father, who left his daughter in a legacy of a huge fortune. But God heard the prayers of a young virgin, and once a hated husband, along with the crew of a ship sailing to Persia, drowned in the sea during a storm. Now no one disturbed Anastasia to take care of the zealots of faith.

Words and deeds of St. Anastasia left a trace in the minds and hearts of people, and Christians in the Roman land became more and more. With such a state of affairs, representatives of the authorities did not reconcile, and one day Anastasia was dragged between the four pillars and burned. The relics of the saint were transferred to Constantinople, and then to the city of Thessaloniki, where later the men's monastery was founded.

Prayer to Anastasia the Oozreshitelnitsu helps to get rid of illnesses, safely to be released from places of confinement and to be removed from the burden.

Shrines of the temple

The southern facade of the church is decorated with a mosaic temple icon of St. Anastasia. Inside the temple are resting pieces of holy relics, which you can bow to every day from 8.00 to 20.00.

The miraculous icon of the Kaluga Mother of God helps believers. The icon appeared in the XVIII century, when the Queen of Heaven punished, and after repentance he cured a daring courtyard girl. Later, the Mother of God returned the rumor to the barbaric servant Prokhor, rescued from death the daughter of the boyar Evdokia, helped other Christians in the village of Kaluga.

Activity of the temple today

The temple of Anastasia the Obsceneurs in the warm camp is designed for 200 people, therefore it can not accommodate all those who wish to pray to God. The parishioners are eagerly awaiting the completion of the construction of a new church housing 1,000 people.

At the church there is a Sunday school, the students of which learn about God, Christian faith, prayer. The children study liturgics, the Old and New Testaments, ancient Russian traditions, learn floristry, appliques, choral singing, learn about church holidays and Orthodox icons, make pilgrimages to holy places.

The parishioners who visit the church of the Great Martyr Anastasia Uzozreshitnitsy take an active part in social programs, providing targeted assistance to the sick and the poor. There is a youth movement in the temple, the members of which organize children's holidays, participate in the Congresses of Orthodox Youth, the celebration of saints and other events.
