The flag of Crimea is the embodiment of courage, honesty and freedom

The flag of Crimea was adopted in 1999 on April 21. It was then that he became the official symbol of the Autonomous Republic. More precisely, at that time it was such. The Crimean Tatar flag is a blue cloth, in the upper corner of which there is a golden tamga (a symbol similar both to the letter "T" and to the scale). It is interesting that he for a long time was the official symbol of the Crimean Khanate. To be more precise, it was the only variant of the flag. That is why in 1991 the Kurultai of the Crimean Tatar people decided to make it a national symbol.

A peculiar addition

It is interesting that the flag of the Republic of Crimea exists in two versions. More precisely, there is its interpretation. Often in the middle of the Crimean tricolor is painted a griffin. Everyone knows that he is an Old Greek mythological character. It can also be seen on the Sevastopol coat of arms. Why this particular animal? But because it can always protect itself.
