Material for modeling you can choose the most different - plasticine, mastic, polymer clay or salted dough. But if you are new to modeling, it is strongly recommended that you take plasticine, since it is cheap and more convenient to use.

The easiest elephant of plasticine

To dazzle the most simple elephant, you will need a lot to sculpt black, white (or beige) and blue. Black plasticine is needed for the eyes, white for tusks, and blue for the body. Blue clay, if desired, can be replaced with gray or even pink.

First, take a large piece of blue plasticine and make a ball of it. Give it a little elongated shape. Then make four balls for the legs, two for the ears and one for the trunk. Also make a small thin sausage for the tail. Make four legs out of four balls. Two balls flatten in flat cakes. Ears turned out!

Then stick the legs, ears, trunk and tail to the body. Carefully cover the seams with your finger. From black plasticine, make two small eyes. From white, make two sausages. Slightly bend them and stick them under the trunk. An elephant of plasticine is ready!

A more complex model

You will need a lot for modeling of gray, dark gray, pink and black colors. First make two gray balls. Give a little ball to a slightly elongated shape. It turned out the trunk and head. Stick the head to the body. Then make of gray plasticine six more small balls. Of the four make the legs, and two more - the ears. Ears should be oval. Blind the sausage and stick it to the head. The trunk turned out. Steck draw the details of the trunk elephant. From the dark gray plasticine, make small circles and cut them in half. Stick them to the legs of the elephant.

Then from the pink mass for modeling, first make a thick cake, and then cut out the heart from it. Draw a pattern around the edges of the heart. Arrange the heart as you see in the photo. Next, take a dry pastel of pink color and rastolkite it into powder. Brush pastel on the ears and cheeks of an elephant. Now your craft is made of plasticine. The elephant is ready!

There is a separate type of creativity - drawing with plasticine. First you need to take a piece of paper and draw a picture on it. Then take the necessary colors of plasticine. For example, for the image below, you need a lot to sculpt the yellow, orange, gray, white, black, pink, purple, pink and green colors. First you must lay out the background. Then, gently with the help of a stack, the figure of the elephant itself. Then blind white tusks, pink mouth and black eye. Next, put a purple clay cap. On top of a pink flower with green petals. And, at last, clothe the hat with a yellow strip. An elephant of plasticine is ready!

How to make a craft more durable

First you need to make a foundation (the so-called skeleton of the future figure). Then clothe the base with plasticine of the required color. Give special attention to small things, and the elephant can turn out like a real one. The ready figure can be shaded with shadows or dry pastel, and also varnished. So an elephant made of plasticine will not attract dust to itself, and it can be wiped.

In addition, you can make a base of plasticine, and then make it a paper copy. First, blind an elephant, and then glue it with newspapers or kraft paper. To make the article work, you need to glue an elephant three to eight times. Wait until the elephant dries, then cut it in half and pull out all the clay.
