Tuning the carburetor - the machine is working properly

To make tuning of the carburettor by own strength it is possible. Where do I start? First of all, we look under the diffusers of the main metering systems, since on throttle valves there may be an unnecessary object. For example, the screw lying in the carburetor gets into the cylinder, and this can lead to engine failure.

After that, we unscrew the solenoid valve, while removing the idler from it, clean it and see if the valve works. Do not forget to check the cold play gap and the integrity of the diaphragm of the entire cold start. We pay great attention to the float. It must not touch the wall of the float chamber. Adjustment of the free stroke and level occurs by bending the corresponding tabs. And thanks to our own language, we check the tightness of the check valve. Carefully screw the solenoid valve, as it can damage the thread. Lubricate the O-ring with oil, this will help feel the touch of the idle jet of its seat in the main cover.

We check the tuning of the carburetor Solex:

• Nuts, so they are well attached.
• The action of the gas pedal drive (in the event that you fully press it, the throttle should take a vertical position). This is regulated by the gas cable fixing nut, leaving the drive free running, and in the 2nd chamber we pour a little gasoline and wait about 20 seconds. During this time, the gasoline should remain, if it disappeared, then we look at the adjusting screw of the second chamber.
• The work of the accelerator pump. Gasoline from the sprayers should appear immediately after the throttle valve is opened. If this does not happen, then to solve the problem, look at the accelerator drive eccentric or the lever.

Then unscrew the air jet assemblies with emulsion tubes, as well as fuel jets under them. With the help of a toothpick, we get fuel jets from the wells by unscrewing the cap of the economizer of the power regimes (do not forget about the spring) to check the integrity of the cleanliness of the jet and the diaphragm.

After all, we clean the tuning of the carburetor and collect, only in the reverse order. Cleaning is done by air. Try to blow it carefully so that no mote remains. During the connection of the suction cable, you need to check and adjust its action. This adjustment of the carburetor Solex assumes without fail. If the suction handle is pushed in, the air flap of the carburettor should assume a vertical position.

Tuning the carburetor is one of the stages of complex engine repair. He many times improves his work. In principle, this process is not so complicated. But, nevertheless, it is necessary to produce it often enough. At the same time, the main thing is that the Solex carburetor setting is done on time.
