Tatiana Tarasova was born on February 13, 1947 in a sports family. Her mother, Nina Grigoryevna, taught physical culture, Tanya's father, Anatoly Vladimirovich Tarasov , a famous hockey coach. Growing up in a certain environment, Tatiana since childhood was fond of sports. The famous father, having seen his daughter's desire for sports, engaged in her training, and at 5 years old Tatiana was skating.

In the distant 1966, the future coach Tatiana Tarasova, in partnership with Georgy Proskurin, became the best on the World Universiade. But at 19 years old, the athlete was forced to retire due to a serious injury. In the 1980s, Tarasova, along with former mentor Elena Tchaikovskaya, created the All-Star Ice Theater and oversaw its activities. The actors of the theater were stars with a world name, under the leadership of Tarasova, who participated in the performances "Scarlet Flower", "Sleeping Beauty", "Russian on Broadway", "Night on Bald Mountain", "Cats", "Cinderella", "West Side Story" "Cabaret" and other productions.

Trainer Tarasova was awarded many orders, awards and honorary titles, including the Order of Merit for the Fatherland (III degree), the Order of Friendship of Peoples and others. Tatyana is an Honored Art Worker of the Russian Federation.

She was married three times, the last husband, Vladimir Krainev, died after a long illness in 2011.
