Maria Butyrskaya is the very first Russian champion in women's singles. Throughout her career, she has managed to win a large number of impressive victories, she has various medals, her collection has awards received for the most significant competitions of the planet. Early career skaters

And when the mentor finally appeared, it was not a joy - he disliked her and generally considered worthless. In addition to everything, with his light hand Maria Butyrskaya was generally expelled from the CSKA sports school.

During the year, while she was not able to deal with, the girl gained excess weight and almost lost faith in her strength. It may well be that today the fans of her talent might not know about her at all, if it were not for Irina Nifontova. She was able to persuade Maria to return to the ice and helped to find a coach. For some time Masha worked with Viktor Kovalev, until he moved to Greece - he made a significant contribution to the development of the femininity of her skating.

The way to the dream - the World Cup

After Kovalev's departure, Irina Nifontova helped Maria to join the group to a well-known and talented teacher Viktor Kudryavtsev. As a result, he managed to make Maria Butyrskaya the best skater not only in Russia but also in the world! He put her the right technique of jumping, but most importantly - helped to restore faith in yourself.

Working together with Viktor Kudryavtsev also was short-lived, and the girl was led by Elena Tchaikovsky. The coach with a great experience in working with couples and men was able to believe in her talent and abilities, taught her to believe in herself. And as a result, the first significant victories. Within a year of the joint work, Maria Butyrskaya became the first in the European Championship and the third at the World Championship. The mentor helped to find her own style in figure skating, fans loved the ballet lightness developed by them in the musical accompaniment of the classics.

Star achievements

In major competitions, the sportswoman took part in her youth, but she could take the third place at the Russian Championship during the 1991/1992 season, at the age of 19. Many critics have decided that this title is a lucky coincidence for Mary, but next year it became clear that this is the result of hard work and great talent. Then Butyrskaya was able to become the champion of Russia, and at the European Championship was on the fifth line of the protocol. After the sport

Maria Butyrskaya announced the end of her career as a figure skater in 2003. She very rarely participates in commercial projects and demonstration performances. An exception can only be made for charitable programs.

But the woman is not going to leave sport. After completing her professional career, Maria works as a coach in the children's figure skating school.

Once the sportswoman decided on an erotic photo shoot for a glossy magazine, showing herself as a model. For some time the figure skater worked as a commentator, but, as she admitted, it was just entertainment.

Maria Butyrskaya: personal life

For many years, Maria Butyrskaya is a beautiful wife and a happy mother of two children. In 2006, at a party with friends, she met her future husband Vadim Khomitsky, a famous Russian figure skater. In 2006, their wedding took place. And in 2007, the first born was born - Vladislav. In 2009, a little ahead of their parents' expectations, they had a daughter, Alexander.
