Chaikovskaya Elena: photo, biography and personal life

Chaikovskaya Elena Anatolyevna - an outstanding coach in figure skating. She has achieved fantastic results for her long career, but does not stop there. She has many plans and goals for the coming years.

Parents

Elena Anatolievna was born in 1939, in Moscow. Her family was very creative: both father and mother worked as actors in the Mossovet Theater.

Mother of Tchaikovsky is Tatyana Golman. It came from an old German family that settled in Russia in the sixteenth century. Before the revolution, it was a prosperous family with a decent income (according to Tchaikovsky, they had factories, porcelain factories, several mansions and estates). Father, Anatoly Osipov, was a native Muscovite.

Tchaikovsky's parents played on the same stage with such great artists as Faina Ranevskaya, Rostislav Plyatt, Lyubov Orlova. Theater director Yuri Zavadsky very much protected his troupe and provided all possible support to artists, especially during the war.

Childhood

Chaikovskaya Elena Anatolievna was born a year and a half before the Great Patriotic War. With her family she lived in Sokolniki, in a tiny little room, left as a legacy from her mother's relatives.

Since the mother was an ethnic German woman, she was sent from the city together by a small Lena in 1941. They took them straight from the dacha, without any warnings, they did not give us the opportunity to collect things. With a baby in her arms, Tatiana Mikhailovna had to shake for days in the old train car to get to Kazakhstan. They were settled in Chimkent. This link lasted almost seven years.

Like other inhabitants of the country, they experienced a lot of suffering. From hungry death, they were saved only by the fact that the mother managed to take with her old tobacco pouch, in which old gold coins were kept. She traded them for bread. So they managed to survive until 1947.

All this time Elena was separated from her father. He stayed in Moscow, acted together with the acting brigades at the front.

After the Great Victory, the authorities did not raise the question of the return of Tatyana and Elena. If it were not for the petition of the director Zavadsky, perhaps they would have remained in Kazakhstan. But Yuri Alexandrovich raised all his connections, and in early 1947 the mother and daughter returned to Moscow. True, there were unknown people living in their apartment, the family had to crowd around in the basement dormitory of the theater, which was located not far from the Hermitage garden.

Lena spent a lot of time in the theater with her parents. From morning till evening I followed the rehearsals, and then I stared at the performances without stopping. She even played a small role in the "Brandenburg Gate" and starred with her father in one movie.

Everyone was looking for a brilliant career. In particular, Faina Ranevskaya rejoiced for her. But fate was very different. Elena Chaikovskaya's illness interfered with the case. From Kazakhstan she returned with tuberculosis.

Doctors could do little about it, but they advised me to start doing sports outdoors. By that time the Osipovs had moved to Begovaya, to the new house of the Mossovet Theater. Nearby was the stadium of Young Pioneers, where Chaikovskaya Elena and began to ride. Twice a day she had training in figure skating. Of course, in the open air. A year later, everyone forgot about the disease.

Youth

Years of youth at Chaikovskaya Elena Anatolyevna were extremely saturated. She loved to learn, loved figure skating, did not forget about the parental theater. She always had time, and she liked it. In addition to these classes, Lena seriously took a great interest in music, played the piano. But the living space of her family did not allow to put this instrument, and the girl often came to visit her friend and neighbor Alexei Shcheglov, the son of Irina Wolf. For hours they sat at the piano and played music. It was in their house that Lena became more familiar with Ranevskaya and other artists who had a huge influence on her.

Sports career

Sport became the main thing in Lena's life. She quickly gained momentum, improved her technique and began to compete in competitions. She was very lucky with the coach. They became Tatyana Tolmacheva, one of the founders of the school of figure skating in our country.

By the age of fifteen, Chaikovskaya Elena, then wearing the surname of Osipova (by her father), became a master of sports. She won three national championships in singles. At seventeen she became the owner of the gold medal in solo skating. After this USSR Championship, Elena decided to put an end to her sports career.

At the crossroads

How many years Elena Tchaikovsky had to hear about the wrong decision, about an unfair early departure from the sport, only she knows. But the fact remains that at seventeen the girl was at a crossroads. What to do next? She even intended to enter mathematics, because she liked to study, and she always liked mathematics. But, as always, the case helped. An ice ballet from America came to Moscow on tour. Elena was struck by what she saw, she was absolutely delighted. It was then that she had the idea to organize such a show in our country. Only there was one but. Experts who could make such a statement on the ice simply did not exist. Then Tchaikovsky decided to go to GITIS.

Higher education

She entered the ballet department, which she graduated with success in 1964. Her course was led by People's Artist of the USSR Rostislav Zakharov. The course was very strong, many of her fellow students subsequently became leading choreographers in theaters of different countries.

Elena Tchaikovskaya, whose photographs began to appear in the newspapers, became the first choreographer for ice ballet.

Coaching activities

After graduation, Elena did not immediately realize her dream of ballet on ice. She became the coach of professional athletes. Since 1964, the girl molded real champions for her Motherland.

Elena Tarasova and G. Proskurin became the first serious work experience for Elena. When she was twenty-one, she came to them as a choreographer. Despite the fact that it was figure skating (dancing on ice), more time athletes paid lessons on the floor. Tarasova remembers that Tchaikovsky taught them completely unfamiliar movements.

At this time, their coach Viktor Ryzhkin left the pair, and Tchaikovsky herself began to put the program to them. That's how she turned from a choreographer to a coach.

In 1965, their first European Championship took place. Later, other students will appear at Tchaikovskaya, and they will bring her an unprecedented triumph, but Elena will always remember the way out to the ice. Of course, the guys did not win anything, but they began to work even harder and harder.

But then an unforeseen happened: Tarasova suffered a serious shoulder injury and could no longer claim high results. At the Tchaikovsky new promising pupils appeared.

The first champions

Tchaikovsky became the coach of Pakhomova and Gorshkov in 1967, when they just became a couple. Initially, the process seemed very difficult - not only partners got used, but also the coach. But soon the first successes appeared and the light of hope dawned.

Considering that, in fact, they were the first Soviet dance couple, their second place in the 1969 World Cup was a real breakthrough. And after a year Pakhomova and Gorshkov, together with Elena Tchaikovsky, celebrated their victory in Europe and the world.

Thanks to the coaching and choreographic skills of Tchaikovsky and the performance and talents of sportsmen, such a sport as dancing on ice has radically changed. In place of academicity and classics came emotional folk dances. The pair became Olympic champions in 1976.

For success in working with Pakhomova and Gorshkov, Tchaikovsky became Honored Coach of the USSR.

The next champions were Linichuk and Karponosov. They twice won the European and world championships, became gold medal winners at the 1980 Olympics in Lake Placid.

Elena Chaykovskaya contributed to the formation of such an athlete as Maria Butyrskaya. Originally she trained with the pupil of Elena Anatolyevna Vladimir Kovalev, then with Viktor Kudryavtsev. But she lacked the "ballet" elements, which helped her put it Tchaikovsky.

Butyrskaya became the first world champion (1999) in the post-Soviet period of our country.

Ice shows

In the last years of the existence of the Soviet Union, most sports trainers left for the West to work not only on enthusiasm. Elena Anatolievna remained. Its purpose was not to let fall the existing canons, the traditions of the Russian school of figure skating. She stayed at home - to defend the honor and glory of our athletes.

In the 80's and 90's worked with professional skaters a lot, putting whole performances on the ice. The ballet was titled "The Wunderkind of Russia", headed by Elena Chaykovskaya. Children for several years successfully performed at venues in Europe and Russia.

Moving away from direct coaching for a while, Tchaikovsky staged amazing programs for circuses on ice. This creative activity helped her to look at figure skating in our country in a different way. And, of course, this experience helped her to work as head coach of the Russian team. She held this post until 1998, and quite successfully. Two Winter Olympics ended with brilliant results.

The Tchaikovsky's Horse

In 2001, the most cherished dream of the coach came true - she was able to open her own school of figure skating. It was called the "Tchaikovsky Horse". This event Tchaikovsky waited twelve years (while building was under construction and papers were made out).

Elena Chaikovskaya, children-pupils and adult figure skaters (for example, Margarita Drobiazko and Povilas Vanagas) are happy to conduct their training there. This school has a clear goal - starting with the basics, the coach brings his athlete to the championship. It is very important that there is a "bench of spare", because only in the conditions of fierce competition talents are revealed by athletes.

In sports school more than five hundred people are engaged. In addition, there is a free group for disabled children, initiated by Elena Chaykovskaya.

Biography (children, athletes in her always took the leading place), this amazing woman allows you to conclude that the coach really is happy for his work.

The Chaikovskaya school has already trained several champions, among whom are Kristina Oblasova and Julia Soldatova.

Other activities

Elena Tchaikovskaya, whose children-pupils were 11 times the first in competitions, no doubt, had a lot of knowledge and thoughts. They decided to share them with the reader. From her pen came three books, where she describes the main points of education of young figure skaters. In addition, the coach created a textbook on figure skating.

The book "Six Points" describes the entire history of this sport in Russia, since the nineteenth century.

Political activity Chaikovskaya Elena shows occasionally. For example, in 2012 she became a confidant of presidential candidate V. Putin.

Personal life

The personal life of Elena Tchaikovsky is not public property. It is known that she was twice married. With the first husband, Andrei Novikov, the heroine of our narrative was familiar from her youth. They got married when Lena studied at the institute. At twenty-one she became a mother: the couple had a son, Igor. The son of Elena Tchaikovsky graduated from the Institute of International Relations.

The second husband of Elena Tchaikovsky turned out to be a sports journalist. Elena was introduced to him by her first husband. This is a joke of fate. After the competition, he brought a journalist to her for an interview. It was Anatoly Tchaikovsky, a correspondent from Kiev.

In 1965, the couple got married. Anatoly moved to Moscow, began to work in the "Soviet sport." Their marriage several times was on the verge of collapse. Anatoly was too quick-tempered, oil added to the fire that he, so to speak, was in a foreign territory. But Elena Tchaikovskaya, a biography whose personal life demonstrates all her wisdom, was able to save her family.
