Support words: what is this and what is facilitated by the use of the technique of compiling stories by reference words

Each text is a sequence of sentences that have a logical and semantic connection with each other. Proposals consist of words, and it is words that determine the meaning of the entire text and individual sentences. But in each text there are special - basic - words. What is this and what is their peculiarity, we consider on the example of children's fairy tales. Why children's fairy tales? Because the topic "Reference words" is part of the secondary school curriculum of the general education school.

Children not only learn basic words, but also learn to apply the knowledge gained in practice. A fairy tale is one of the closest literary genres for children of this school age.

Support words - what is it?

If all the adjectives are deleted in a fairy tale, she will lose her colors, lose her emotions. But the meaning will still be preserved and will be understood even by the child. Then you can delete all the repeating words, leaving only one by one, exclude all words related to the service parts of speech.

The next step is to remove from the text pronouns and numerals, participles and gerunds. Leave the proper names, verbs, describing the main actions, which indicate the main meaning of the text. As a result, there will be a small list of words in which it will be easy to guess the contents of a fairy tale, which was ruthlessly "corrected". They are called support. On them, you can easily define the theme of the text. By these words it is also possible to easily restore the lost text or to write a new one.

A lesson like a fairy tale

Children easily remember information that is presented to them in a playful form. Therefore, to explain to students the theme of "Reference words", what it is like, to teach them how to define the theme of the narrative and to identify the supporting words in the text in a lesson built as a fairy tale, is a great idea that will be crowned with success. You can tell the children a fairy tale about how an evil magician enchanted fairy tales and almost all the words turned into stone blocks.

Children are happy to be involved in such a game. Every child is ready to fight an evil wizard and do everything possible to win good over evil. By the end of the lesson, the class will be filled with real magic - the children will learn how to remove evil charms from fairy tales. The "fairytale" lesson will allow children to easily understand the concept of "supporting words", what it is and how, with the help of basic words, make up stories on a given topic.

The objectives of the lesson on the study of support words

The study of any topic in the primary school curriculum pursues three main goals - educational, developmental and educational. Achieving the educational goal entirely depends on the example on the basis of which the lesson will be presented. For example, if the basis for presenting a new topic is a work of fine art or a piece of music, then one can safely say that the teacher tries to instill in children a love of art. For example, he can show the students a picture of a famous artist and ask him to name what they see in the picture. The picture should be clear to children of this age category. You can choose a landscape, as in I. Levitan's "Golden Autumn".

Nevertheless, the main goal is educational. In the course of the lesson, children should learn to determine the topic of the narrative by reference words, make up a story based on the words of reference, and determine intersubject connections. Write a story on the words of reference - creative work. It develops memory, attention, creativity of thinking, speech.

Case endings and support words

But it is not necessary to confuse the supporting words to compose a story on a given topic with words that help memorize the correct writing of unstressed case endings of nouns of different declensions.

In the Russian language, in addition to the fact that the nouns change by gender and number, they also change with case. And often it happens that the ending of the noun is unstressed, therefore on the letter there can be certain difficulties with the writing of such nouns in different cases. But do not despair, support words will come to verify the correctness of spelling. The secret is simple: nouns of the same declension in the same cases have the same endings.

Algorithm of operation (reference words for verification)
Step 1 Determine the decline
Step 2 Determine the case
Step 3 Remember the ending for the word in this case and declension
Step 4 Check the spelling of the end with the reference word

If you decline the supporting words by case, you will find a pleasant pattern - in the genitive, instrumental, dative and prepositional cases , they end in shock. Support words are only needed for nouns of the first and second declensions. For example, for the first declination, the word "earth" is used as the reference, and for the second "bucket".
