Steel pipe thin-walled: types, classification, scope

Nowadays pipes are used practically in all branches of human activity and are encountered almost at every step. It's hard to imagine how you can build communication without them. For example, a steel thin-walled pipe, the diameter of which should not exceed 20 mm, has a wall thickness of at least 1.5 mm.

Scope of application

Pipes made of steel allow to ensure uninterrupted supply of water and gas, and also cable lines are laid inside them. Therefore, in the near future it is absolutely impossible to refuse them, in spite of the fact that today there are active attempts to create an alternative in the form of plastic with similar properties.

Steel pipe thin-walled with a sufficiently large diameter is used for laying sewer galleries and collectors. Here, the most effective technology of extrusion by individual links is used. When installing such products, various hydraulic devices are used, making the pipes to be joined to each other.

Steel pipe thin-walled surpasses other products of this kind of strength and durability. This means that one unit can be used for many years. Therefore, it is steel pipes that are the most suitable option for the construction of private houses, stalls and other light structures. When installing a heating system, such steel materials should not be used because permanent exposure to high temperatures can cause deformation and failure of the entire system, and this will entail additional financial costs.

Due to active introduction of advanced technologies, steel pipes are provided with the necessary mechanical strength and rigidity. As for the price of such products, it is the most democratic of all available today.
