Shoe by hand: making

Each apartment or house needs a place to store shoes. You can buy various pieces of furniture in the store, but it will be much cheaper to make them yourself. Such a decision will prove to be not only profitable, but also will allow the designer's ideas of the home master to be realized. The shoe can be made from hand-made materials. It is not necessary to purchase a whole sheet of chipboard for the work, there will be enough furniture panels. Such blanks can be bought in any store of building materials. They are completely ready for assembly - they have edges and are cut into equal parts.

Preparation before work starts

If the shoe is made by own hands, then metal mesh can be purchased for it. Their standard width can be 46.4; 56.4; 76.4, and also 86.4 centimeters. If there is a need to make a design of a non-standard size, then the grid can be ordered depending on your wishes, but this approach will cost a little more. If the shelves will have the most impressive width that was mentioned above, then the outer dimensions of the shoe will be as follows: 120x90x34 cm. The depth of 34 cm will be enough to place medium-sized boots there.

If the shoe is made by one's own hands, then the important thing is the functionality and compactness. For this, shelves are recommended to be placed under a certain slope, which will be turned inwards. In this case, the cabinet will occupy the minimum amount of space.

Preparing the Parts

When a shoe is made by hand, several elements are prepared. Among them you can distinguish side walls, facades, top cover, rear wall and skirts. The last three elements will be needed in a single copy, while the sidewalls and facades will be needed in the amount of 2 pieces. Sidewalls can be made of a furniture board, and the facades will look great from MDF or chipboard. The rear wall can be formed from an orgalite.

If a shoe will be made with a seat in the hallway, then do not forget about the presence of fasteners.

Preparation of fittings and fasteners

The master will have to purchase 8 confirmations, 4x16 screws, facade pens and dowels, furniture steel corners, 4-loop loops and a drill, as well as a hammer and a screwdriver.

Assembling

With the help of confirmats, you need to fix the rods on the sidewall. To do this, under the fasteners need to make through holes, the diameter of which is 8 millimeters. The kings in the end parts should have small holes, the depth of which is 60 millimeters. All holes must match exactly. Half of the corners should be bolted to the top cover, while the remaining 4 are used instead of wall fasteners. They need to be installed to the side parts.

If you will be made a shoe with a seat in the hallway, then all the elements are pulled together by screws. Before fixing the hardboard, you need to check how equal the box is, its diagonals should be equal to each other. On the vertical sides of the facade, measure 15 cm from the bottom and from above. Then it is necessary to retreat into the depth of 2.2 cm. At the marked points, it is necessary to make holes with a diameter of 3.5 cm. The next step is to install and fasten the doors and fix the handle.

Such a shoe, the drawings of which can be compiled by you yourself, are installed on the floor or suspended at a certain height from the surface. This will allow wet cleaning under a new piece of furniture. The distance between the second and lower shelves should be 35 cm, which will allow them to place boots there.

Manufacture of compact footwear

If there is not too much space in your hallway, you can make a compact model of the shoe. With this work any master can cope. First of all, prepare long shoe brushes, special plywood, screws, spikes, wood glue, moisture resistant varnish, acrylic paint and a brush.

Technology of work

The shoe, the size of which you can be selected according to the number of family members, should be manufactured by a certain technique. It involves the use of brushes at the first stage. In the edge of the plywood, it is necessary to drill 6 holes, into which the spikes are pre-treated with glue. In the plywood are made identical holes, which will then blur the elements and connect them together. For reliability, the workpieces are pulled together by clamps.

This design will have lateral elements, which are installed in the same way. Using the hacksaw on the wood, you should saw off the brushes of the handle, if any. In each of them, drill two holes and screw the workpieces with short screws to the base. Brushes will exclude the spoiling of shoes during the operation of your self-made construction. It is recommended to place the shoe with a certain slope in relation to the vertical surface. This will allow the shoes to stay on the shelves and not fall out.

Conclusion

Metal shoe is considered not very practical, because, for example, lacquer shoes in it can be accidentally damaged. However, you can still make it, for this you should use new dish dryers, which are installed in several rows using metal corners or wooden racks. The last elements are recommended to be painted under the color of the dryer. Self-made shoe is not only a useful piece of furniture. It can become an excellent decor of the interior of your hallway - it all depends on the imagination of the master and the desire to create.
