Roses Chippendale: a description of the variety and peculiarities of growing.

A lot of enthusiastic reviews can be heard from gardeners involved in the cultivation of flowers, regarding the rose Chippendale. Its name is due to the famous furniture designer Thomas Chippendale, who decorated his products with ornaments in the form of these flowers.

Description

The variety was bred in Germany in 2005. It is a fairly strong shrub that reaches a height of 100-120 cm. Its leaves are dark green, shiny, have a high resistance to disease. Large flowers with a fruity aroma are collected in inflorescences and sometimes reach a diameter of 10 cm or more. Their unusually beautiful vase-shaped form is filled with a large number of petals (up to 80 pieces). They have a bright dark orange color at the beginning of flowering, and then, gradually scorching, they acquire an apricot shade. The flowering period of the Chippendale rose lasts a long time, after which the petals are very gently crumbled.

When purchasing this variety, you should know that it has other names - Ali Mau, Music Hall, Duchess of Cornwall, Ali Man.

Peculiarities of growing

Soils for planting this variety are preferred loamy, slightly acidic, enriched with humus and well drained. The place should be chosen warm, well lit and at the same time protected from drafts. In a shaded area, plants are easily exposed to various diseases, flowers are often formed on them with small, pale colors. Before planting, the soil is dug to a depth of 45 cm, while adding organic fertilizers.

In order for flowering to be more prolonged and abundant, it is necessary to feed the plant regularly with complex fertilizers, to periodically cut off the faded inflorescences.

Planting and care

Experts well know how important this point is for the correct formation of the bush. They recommend observing several important rules. Planting roses Chippendale requires an individual approach. Planting this plant in spring, the place of grafting should be buried 3 cm. Do not plant too thick so that the roses do not shade each other. One square meter should be planted from 4 to 8 bushes.

Caring for the rose includes the mandatory removal of dead flowers and proper pruning. It will ensure the formation of a beautiful bush, not letting him get hurt. In addition, it will lead to a more lush and abundant flowering.

Watering should be done regularly, but at the same time, the soil should not be waterlogged, which can lead to diseases of the root system. The soil around the bush should be regularly loosened to a depth of 3 cm. This will help to avoid the appearance of weeds.

Top dressing of Chippendale rose with mineral fertilizers is carried out at least 3 times during the summer. In autumn manure can be introduced into the soil.
