Pain in the esophagus and their causes

The pains in the esophagus are often enough, but each patient has his own reasons for their occurrence. In many respects the development of disorders of the digestive system is promoted by nervous disorders, overstrain, depression of various levels of complexity. In this case, it is necessary to establish a nervous system in order to cure all the consequences as soon as possible. The earlier this is done, the painless the treatment of diseases will be.

Pain in the esophagus, which is observed directly during swallowing, is called dysphagia. As a rule, it can occur with many diseases of the esophagus, therefore, in order to make the final diagnosis it is necessary to undergo a complete examination. The causes of dysphagia can be several: internal damage to the organ (organic and functional), as well as a compressed state due to pressure on the esophagus of the remaining organs of the abdominal cavity. Internal functional disorders can be caused by a hernia of the diaphragm (its esophageal opening), cardiopathies, malfunctioning of the esophagus. For organic reasons include a tumor of the esophagus, ulcers of various origin and degree of complexity, inflammation of the mucosa of the esophagus, hernia.

During the examination, it is necessary not only to diagnose "dysphagia", but also to determine the features of its course and the degree of complexity. This can be done by observing the symptoms of the esophagus during the reception of solid and liquid food. If dysphagia has functional causes, difficulty in swallowing causes liquid nutrition. With solid foods, problems do not arise. If the dysphagia is organic, then the situation is directly proportional. But you should not take these signs as a one hundred percent guarantee of accuracy of diagnosis. Final conclusions should be made only after X-ray and endoscopy.

As a rule, patients feel the pain in the esophagus behind the sternum. Unpleasant sensations can appear simultaneously in the neck, shoulders, jaw, and also in the area of internal organs. As a rule, pain occurs during eating.

It is necessary to determine the causes of pain in the esophagus, to examine the cardiovascular system. Often dysphagia is confused with angina due to similar symptoms. Treatment of these diseases is different, so it is important to correctly diagnose.

When the esophagus hurts because of developing cancer of this organ, the pain from temporary to overgrow into permanent.

Features of disorders of the esophagus (dyspeptic disorders) is the appearance of heartburn, belching, frequent attacks of vomiting. The pain in the esophagus, as a rule, is always accompanied by nausea, which often goes into vomiting. Heartburn occurs when lowering the tone of the lower sphincter of the esophagus, and appears either on an empty stomach or after a hearty meal. It often happens in pregnant women, aggravated when moving to a horizontal position, as well as with a long tilt of the trunk forward. Heartburn as the main symptom occurs with scleroderma and hernia diaphragmal esophageal opening.

The eructation is accompanied by an acidic, bitter or rotten smell. If there is an unpleasant smell from the mouth, it can be a symptom of stomach damage and serious diseases of the esophagus.

The pain in the esophagus, accompanied by reverse peristalsis (vomiting), is caused by overflow of the esophagus. Overflow, in turn, is the main sign of ulcers or tumors.

When the patient has varicose veins of the esophagus, cancer, mucosal integrity disorder, the pain in the esophagus will be accompanied by heavy bleeding. Bleeding occurs during the night or after an abundance of meals during the day. The presence of this disorder is always an alarming sign, so the diagnosis should be carried out immediately
