Original salads

Original salads are an indispensable attribute of any event. And in some families without a salad, there is not a single daily meal. And this is not at all surprising, because salad is not only a very tasty dish, but, in the opinion of many nutritionists, it is also very useful. The first salads were known in ancient Rome. Then they were a mixture of chopped vegetables and served as a side dish for meat dishes. The modern abundance of various products has made its own adjustments to the recipes for the preparation of various salads. Today mistresses, inviting guests to the house or simply wanting to surprise their family, try to serve not traditional but original salads on the table. At first glance, these salads are prepared from the usual products for all the surrounding products, but in their recipe necessarily includes some ingredient that adds to the taste of the salad peculiar "zest".

30 years ago everything was much easier. Then, salads were considered festive dishes and were prepared, for example, by the New Year or by 8 March. At the same time, a limited number of products on the shelves of stores made it possible to put on the table only traditional salads, for example, herring under a fur coat or vinaigrette. Maybe the women would like to surprise the guests and make original salads, but they simply did not have the opportunity.

At present, the situation has changed radically. Gastronomic diversity greatly spoiled the society, and in this connection the hostesses became more and more difficult to impress the people around with unusual dishes. But it's very desirable to surprise, therefore modern women have to use all their imagination in order to treat invited friends or simply to please the family by preparing original salads. For example, the New Year is associated not only with the Christmas tree and gifts, but also with the salad Olivier. And, probably, there is not one person in our country who does not like this salad. Therefore, the simplest way to impress your friends and relatives is by creating your own original Olivier recipe, adding some unusual ingredients to it. There is one wonderful recipe for this salad, which many will like. To prepare this salad, we need 200-300 grams of liver, preferably beef, a pair of medium-sized bulbs, 3-4 small potatoes, 4-5 eggs, 2-3 pickles, a pot of green peas, mayonnaise, salt and pepper.

Cooking method:

The liver should be thoroughly cleaned from the film and soaked in milk for a couple of hours. If there is no milk, then it can be soaked in plain water. After this, the liver is fried in vegetable oil, wait a few minutes until it cools, and chop thin strips.

Then boil eggs and potatoes, also cool and peel. Eggs and potatoes cut in the same way as the liver, and put in a cup for salad. Then, in the same way, cut the pickled cucumbers and onions, place in a cup and add the liver to these ingredients, then mix everything thoroughly. Season the salad with mayonnaise. Before serving, the salad should be decorated with green peas on top and, if desired, fresh greens. By the way, this salad will be much tastier, if before use it will be cooled.

Visitors can be struck in a different way. Very many people prefer to use, so to speak, traditional salads, which are prepared according to the classic recipe. In this case, the original design of salads will help make any table unusual. Beautifully decorated dishes will always be the main element of not only a festive, but also a daily table.
