New bridge in Novosibirsk. Bugrinsky Bridge in Novosibirsk: construction and discovery

Novosibirsk is a city of 1.5 million people, located in the center of the Eurasian mainland on the Ob River. It is a major traffic intersection of highways connecting the east, west and south of our large-scale country.

The bridge in Novosibirsk became a symbol of his birth as a major industrial center. The city began with the construction of a bridge for the Trans-Siberian Railway. According to the disputed data, the choice of the place for the construction of the bridge was argued by N.G. Garin-Mikhailovskiy, whose name is currently occupied by the station square in Novosibirsk.

City of roads

Novonikolaevsk, modern Novosibirsk, rightfully bears the status of the capital of the Siberian region. In 1891 it was a village called New Village with a small number of residents. In 1893, a bridge was constructed here, which became a milestone in the construction of the Trans-Siberian Railway and, at the same time, the date of birth of the city on the Ob River. This event predetermined the future fate of the modern Siberian capital. Currently, the city is a center of transport routes linking six federal highways, a river port and an airport of international importance. Therefore, the development of transport communication is one of the priority areas in the policy of urban development. The city is divided by a water artery into two banks, each of which is a vast industrial zone. Given these features, the system of transport communications should provide for the active construction of bridges.

New bridge as a way of solving old problems

At present, the problem that any city with a million population is experiencing is particularly topical - endless traffic jams, and sometimes even collapse. In the conditions of a complex Siberian climate with high precipitation in winter, the occurrence of weather anomalies and snow drifts on the roads, the construction of spare, additional and bypass roads becomes a priority in urban planning.

This city, being a major center, dynamically increases its resource potential. An explanatory note explaining the need to open a third bridge in Novosibirsk directly points to the acute need for the construction of new highways and the liberation of the center from transit intercity and inland transport.

Geographically, the city is divided by the Ob River into two large industrial zones - the left and right banks. The new bridge in Novosibirsk has become an important link in the creation of a unified transport system with this fact in mind. It is provided by the master plan of urban development.

The bridge in Novosibirsk is a symbol of the city's development

The first building (opened March 31, 1897) is associated with the construction of the Trans-Siberian Railway and actually marked the beginning of the city. Next on the historical date the bridge was commissioned on January 7, 1932 and was named the Komsomol bridge. It serves to skip the freight flow in a southerly direction.

The Municipal Bridge (officially called Oktyabrsky) was put into operation on October 20, 1955. He solved the problem of a permanent transport connection between the two banks of the Ob River. Prior to its commissioning, the communication between the two industrial zones was provided by the pontoon in the summer, and in the winter - at the achievement of a stable ice cover. This bridge became famous not only in the whole former Union, but also in foreign countries. And all thanks to a professional military pilot. Valentin Privalov flew exactly under the bridge at a distance of only one meter from the water, because of which he was subsequently arrested for air hooliganism.

In 1982, November 4, Dimitrovsky Bridge was opened across the Ob in Novosibirsk, connecting the eponymous prospectus with the left-bank part of the city. It was built using a new technology with the use of an all-welded span without bolts.

February 1985 - the launch of a metro bridge that connected the banks of the Ob River to the lines of the Novosibirsk subway. It is currently the longest in the world. Another interesting fact was the real length of the bridge. This is not a constant value. Due to the large temperature drop throughout the year, it can stretch (in summer) and contract (in winter) by about 50 centimeters. Especially for this feature, there are technical devices in the form of rollers on supports.

In 2007, the bridge was put into operation at the lockside of the hydroelectric power station (HPP). The history of the construction of bridges in Novosibirsk is a milestone in the development of the city as the largest industrial center and transport hub of the Eurasian continent.

In 2014, the third transport highway, which became the famous Bugrinsky bridge, was commissioned through the Ob. On the way, the design of the fourth and fifth. And in the strategic perspective is the introduction of the sixth and seventh bridges.

From Olovozavodsky to Bugrinsky bridge - a road long in the epoch

The need for new opportunities for transport communication between the two banks of the Ob River became acute in the last century. The idea of construction had a rapid development in the 80's. However, due to subjective (protests of the defenders of the Bugrinsky grove) and objective (reorganization) reasons did not materialize. Then came the period of perestroika and the economic crisis.
The cost of the project could not be provided with an acute budget of the city and the region. The economic realities of our time also threatened the construction of a new structure several times. Contrary to all forecasts about postponing the date of its commissioning, the opening of the bridge in Novosibirsk was timely. So, having overcome all difficulties, the third crossing across the river still "was born." Her erection caused great interest from the media.

The opening of the third bridge in Novosibirsk was the result of a long history. Initially, the object was designated as the Olovozavodsky bridge. Since the oldest plant for the production of tin was located in the Bougreen Grove, near which the construction was planned. Other variants of names were "Sunny", "Nikolsky", "Rainbow" and "Krivoshchekovsky" (all of them passed more than one stage of comprehension and various voting). In 2013, it was decided that the name was obsolete. And on December 3, the Naming Commission adopted a unanimous decision on the official approval of the bridge as "Bugrinsky".

Technical characteristics of the Bugrinsky Bridge

Four projects were submitted to the city administration for discussion. Two of them - variants of cable and arch type of structures - received priority. As a result, the arch project was approved. The basis for accepting this option was the peculiarities of the geographical relief of the terrain, with which the arch bridge in Novosibirsk corresponded to a greater degree. The price of construction also became a weighty argument in favor of a structure with special spans.

The Bugrinsky bridge in Novosibirsk has the following characteristics:

  • Arch (70 m - height, 25 m - width, length - 380 m);
  • Capacity - 7180 vehicles per hour;
  • Metal supports - 30 pcs .;
  • Number of lanes - 6;
  • Underpass dimensions of the navigable span: width - 140 and 100 m, height - 15 m;
  • The total length of the bridge is about 5480 m;
  • The cost of the bridge is 14 805 462 000 rubles.

Preparatory work

The purpose of the facility is to solve the issue of the bypass road for unloading transport city highways from transit routes. At the preparatory stage, when the bridge was built in Novosibirsk, it was necessary to demolish a large number of private houses that fall into the zone of work. This process required serious financial investments and time for the construction and commissioning of new houses for immigrants.

Because of the difficulties with resettlement, the financial deficit and the delay in preparation of construction areas, a significant (about 3 billion rubles) increase in the cost of the initial cost of the project occurred. Nevertheless, the general contractor coped with the task of state scale. And the commissioning of the facility occurred in accordance with the approved construction plan.

Third bridge: construction chronicle

The project was financed from three sources - the city, regional and federal budgets. General contractor of construction, open joint-stock company from St. Petersburg "Sibmost", offered the most favorable conditions for the cost of the structure.

  • In 2009, preparatory work began on providing construction sites from the city side. For the liberation of the land, more than three hundred houses, ten administrative buildings, garages and a beach in the Bougreen Grove were to be demolished.
  • In 2010, in February, construction began.
  • In December 2012, the construction of thirty bridge supports was completed.
  • April 2014 - the doors of the Bugrinsky bridge are closed at a height of 70 m.
  • In October 2014, it was opened for exploitation with the personal participation of the head of state.

In the course of work, workplaces for more than 1,500 people are involved and created. Deliveries of materials are carried out by five factories for the production of metal structures. Nine research institutes took part in the design process. Large-scale construction required high organization, management and coordination, so it was under close scrutiny and patronage of the government level. In the construction tried to "participate" and bicyclists who demanded the presence of a separate bridge on the new bridge, unfortunately, they were denied.

President's participation is a sign of strategic importance of the project

The new bridge in Novosibirsk (Bugrinsky) was put into operation with the personal participation of President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin on October 8, 2014. The grand opening of the third bridge was a landmark event. The presence at the ceremony of the first person of the state is evidence of the perspective and strategic importance of the object. At the same time, as the media have repeatedly noted, V. Putin's visit is evidence of control over the activities of the administration and the conformity of its work with the state policy plan in the Siberian region.

This is the third bridge in Novosibirsk, connecting the right and left banks of the Ob River. The design facility was created in accordance with the general plan for the construction of roads and connects federal highways: the M-51 Novosibirsk-Omsk, the federal M-52 Novosibirsk-Biysk-Tashanta and the Novosibirsk-Leninsk-Kuznetsky route. It has six lanes and a capacity of more than 28 thousand cars a day.

The Bugrinsky bridge in Novosibirsk, the opening of which was successfully covered by many Russian mass media, became one of the local sights. He makes an indelible impression on the guests of the city. Photo of the bridge in Novosibirsk in different angles was placed in tourist guides.

Opening of the building with the participation of the President of the Russian Federation was broadcasted by TV channels on the air. Immediately afterwards, a traffic jam arose because of the uncontrollable curiosity of the townspeople who wanted to "try" the building and to be imprinted on it. But the very next day the Bugrinsky bridge in Novosibirsk, the opening of which was extremely solemn, performed its direct function to the full. People rode without complications, comfortably and freely on a new design. Naturally, problems arose: at the Bugrink there were already a few minor road accidents, which led to the appearance of traffic jams due to ice.

Prospect of bridge construction in Novosibirsk

The new bridge in Novosibirsk is a special stage in the development of capacity cities. The General Development Plan provides for the construction of four new facilities. Projects of new (fourth and fifth) city bridges are under development. In May 2014, a competition was announced for the design of a bridge in the area of ul. Hippodrome across the river Ob.

For new purposes, it is planned to combine two forms of financing - public and private. This means that a fee will be charged for the journey through the bridge. Establishment of more than ten payment terminals at the entrance and exit. At the moment, the fourth bridge in Novosibirsk as a project is in the stage of very active discussion.

The task of this construction is to unload the traffic interchanges on the sections of the right and left banks in the Hippodrome region, and to optimize the transport system of the center. According to the preliminary plan, the cost of building a new bridge is estimated at twenty-one billion rubles. Without taking into account the cost of the planned high-speed tram line. Coordinating control function for the preparation and implementation of the project is allocated to the company established by the administration of the region "Central Bridge".

The fourth bridge in Novosibirsk, the scheme of which will be presented by the end of 2014, is being developed by the Stroiproject Institute. The tender for construction should be announced by mid-2015.

The Fifth Bridge in Novosibirsk

The idea of building the fifth bridge in the area of Expocenter, Stancionnaya Street, with a slightly different content, is to ensure internal and external transit of transport. The length of the bridge, as planned, will be about five kilometers. Construction involves high costs - the demolition of private houses in the area of project development.

Significant this bridge will be for residents of the Kalinin and Zaeltsovsky districts. They will be able to reach the left bank, bypassing the center of the city. According to experts, the state of the transport system in Novosibirsk dictates the need to design the seventh and eighth bridges. The authorities say that without them a solution to the problem of traffic jams is impossible, so it is important now to begin intensive work on new facilities of this type. Due to the difficulty in attracting investors for the construction of new bridges (there is simply not enough budgetary funds), it is planned to take more active participation of private capital, and, consequently, to introduce payment for the use of the highway. But, perhaps, this is a really good decision: many Novosibirsk citizens are ready to pay for a quality road and the lack of traffic jams. After the construction of the new Zaeltsovsky Bridge, Novosibirsk will open the way to the next evolutionary stage. The question of which of the two planned facilities to launch in the first place, has not yet been finally resolved.

The mayor of the city of Novosibirsk will discuss this issue with the builders and future architects involved, however, a large area of 709,000 square meters in the Central, Railway, Oktyabrsky and Leninsky districts has already been reserved for the construction of the "Isthmus No. 4".
