Lists of professions for a preferential pension: in medicine, in education

In our country people go on a well-deserved rest, reaching a certain age. This is spelled out in the legislation. To date, at the legislative level, retirement is secured for men aged 60 and for women aged 55 years. But at the same time in the Federal Law on the retirement age of citizens there is the concept of a preferential pension. What is this position and what categories of citizens under it can use the right to retire early?

Who has the right?

Categories of people who are entitled to a privileged pension are divided into 2 parts, which together make lists of professions for a preferential pension, namely:

  1. Representatives of certain professions, whose work involves a risk to health.
  2. People who are directly related to certain social categories.

Citizens who apply for a preferential pension payment include those who have been released from work due to the reduction and who are at the pre-retirement age.

In addition, the following categories may qualify for a preferential payment:

  • Women who raised five or more children;
  • Each of the parents who have a dependent child who is disabled;
  • People who received military trauma;
  • Visually impaired;
  • People with congenital deformation of growth;
  • People living and working in the Far North.

It is worth noting that there is also a certain systematization of specialties, which are given a preferential payment. By harmfulness of the profession of all specialties are divided into two lists.

List No. 1

The first list contains activities with particularly harmful working conditions and difficult production conditions. What are these specialties? The list includes the following activities of the profession for a reduced pension:

  • Work under way underground;
  • Work, conducted in a hot shop;
  • Works related to oil refining;
  • Work related to the production and manufacture of shells and other ammunition.

The first list of professions for a preferential pension is considered. According to the list 2, people who hold certain positions can apply for a preferential pension.

These categories include education, medicine, industry, construction and others. Workers of these spheres are necessary for the state, therefore it is interested in making the working conditions more interesting. This also applies to the accrual of pension benefits.

  • Transport workers;
  • Employees of educational institutions;
  • Medical workers;
  • Forestry workers;
  • Construction workers.

The above specialties constitute the so-called list of professions for a preferential pension 2.

You can receive such a privilege only after submitting a package of documents that confirms the length of service in such conditions. It is worth noting that sometimes one workbook is not enough to qualify for a well-deserved pension. In some cases, additional data may be needed in the form of a certificate of payroll or time sheets.

Privilege pension for medical workers

Medical workers also have the right to benefits. But there are certain requirements for this. What are the benefits and what requirements should be met?

Considering the list of professions for a preferential pension in medicine, it is important to understand that a privileged pension for people who have linked their working life with medicine is not an additional payment but an old-age pension. The only difference is the reduction of the minimum length of service for obtaining the status of a pensioner. Moreover, for some categories such a payment is not accrued quite normally:

  • A person who works as a medical worker in the village, the working year is counted as 15 months;
  • Specialists who work as pathologists, surgeons, forensic experts, anaesthesiologists and resuscitators in the city can expect to be credited for one year and a half.

But in this case there are periods that do not count against this formula. This applies to leave, maternity leave or time spent studying in residency.
