Having bought a contrived recipe of chocolate from Lindt, Rudolf Sprüngli achieved the unification of the two companies. So, in 1899 in the world there was a new chocolate brand Lindt & Sprungli. In the same year, they purchased a plot of land in Kilchberg, which helped to expand the factory. The offices of Lindt are still located in this building. Production volumes grew so much that already in 1915 the products were exported to 20 countries. Even in the difficult postwar years, the company opened three new factories - in Germany, France and Italy.
