Infusion in the newborn: prevention and ways to fight it

When a baby is born, his skin only begins to get used to the existence in the extrauterine world, because in the first months of life it is extremely vulnerable and vulnerable and differs significantly from the skin of adults. Despite the fact that the glands for sweating are already formed, the normalization of the sweating process takes place only to four months. The reason lies in the need for the development of the thermoregulatory center. Any overheating of the baby can cause the appearance of such a phenomenon as sweating in newborns.

The disease is a small rash of red and pink, appearing primarily in the skin folds of the child on the neck, back, in the groin, under the arms and in the buttocks. Significantly less frequent sweating appears on the face of the baby - in neglected cases. As a rule, sweating in newborns begins with the precipitation of numerous small vesicles, inside which a clear liquid is contained. In the future, these vesicles easily burst, dry out, accompanied by a slight itch and flaking.

Not only does the sweating in the newborns cause considerable discomfort, skin rashes are the cause of possible further infection. On the surface of the baby's skin there are many different microorganisms, capable of causing infection, under certain conditions. If the time is not taken to disinfect the inflamed skin during a swab, pustular infection is added to the usual course of the disease (the most common infection is staphylococcus). In this case, purulent blisters are added to small blisters of sweating, localized more often in folds and areas of skin covered with hair. In the absence of treatment, the risk of spreading the pustular infection throughout the body of the baby increases many times.

Knowing how to treat a swab of newborns, you can avoid many problems. The first rule in the fight against the disease is the prevention of its occurrence. Do not overdo the baby; Choose the clothes that go through the moisture and air, while keeping the heat. The temperature of the air in the room where the child lives should not be above 21 ° C.

In the case when the sweating of a newborn nevertheless arose, water procedures should be made as often as possible. The water for taking baths in case of a chill must be with the addition of a chamomile or a turn, also a weak aqueous solution of potassium permanganate can be added . An excellent way to bring the baby's skin in order is sea salt. After taking a bath with salt, you should wash off the salt water with running water and carefully dry the baby's body with a soft terry towel. Skin folds are wiped and dried with special attention, since these places are the site of infection. Zones of increased danger can be wiped with a tissue, previously moistened in a solution of soda (one teaspoon of soda to a glass of water). From childhood cosmetic oil during the treatment of sweets should be discarded, replacing it with baby milk.

In addition to medical outdoor procedures, at the first symptoms of the appearance of sweatshops, the wardrobe of the baby should be reconsidered, starting with the elimination of the cause of overheating - excess clothing and kutaniya. If the room is well heated, the baby will have enough to wear a light blouse and spacious panties. Even if the room is not warm enough, parents need to take into account the need for good ventilation of the skin when dressing the baby. For this reason, multi-layer clothing and things made from non-natural fabrics should be avoided.

Parents need to remember the most important thing: sweating in newborns is an easily preventable phenomenon. If you follow the preventive measures described above, you can protect the baby from unnecessary discomfort, without exposing him again to the danger of infection.
