Hakob Nazaretyan: biography

Hakob Nazaretyan is a famous Russian scientist who specializes in the psychology of mass behavior and cultural anthropology. Also, his pen belongs to a number of publications on the theory of development of society, the so-called "great history." So they denote the history of the development of mankind in the context of the history of the entire universe and the planet Earth.

Works of the scientist

Hakob Nazaretyan was born in Baku in 1948. For his scientific career, he managed to publish about 250 publications, including eight monographs. He is a doctor of philosophical sciences, and also a candidate in psychological sciences. He is the editor-in-chief of the journal Historical Psychology and Sociology of History, the main research associate at the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Among the colleagues Hakob Nazaretyan is best known as the author of the hypothesis about the techno-humanitarian balance. On its basis, he explained the development of cultural behavior regulators, and also correlated thinking with technological progress. According to Hakob Nazaretyan, the growth of technological power requires that humanity develop new moral constraints. Nazaretyan also conducted his studies in political psychology. In particular, he investigated the phenomenon of social violence: how it developed in the past and how it develops in the present. The scientist was also interested in aspects of mass spontaneous behavior: how an aggressive crowd behaves, how rumors spread in the society, which can lead to an unexpected mass panic.

According to his activity, Nazaretyan advised many political leaders, not only in Russia, but also in the former Soviet republics. He helped them in the conduct of election campaigns, helped prevent or promptly repay social conflicts.

Many of his ideas are presented in the pages of the journal Historical Psychology and Sociology History, the editor-in-chief of which he is.

In 2005, the publishing house "Academy" published his course of lectures on the psychology of spontaneous mass behavior. In it, he examines how an aggressive crowd is formed, how a person can resist mass panic, what dirty election technologies and black PR are. He illustrates all these questions with a large number of examples from the artistic and scientific literature, as well as from his rich personal experience.

In 2015, he published the book "Anthropology of Violence and the Culture of Self-Organization", which explores the evolution of social violence in society. Carefully examines the hypothesis of the techno-humanitarian balance.

He especially studies the fracture phases of human history, which over time became creative responses of culture to anthropogenic crises. Through centuries of historical experience, the author tries to understand the main crises of modern civilization, to forecast scenarios for the further development of events.
