The drug is effective in prostatitis. In cases of severe purulent infections and mixed infections, the drug "Gentamicin" is also prescribed. In some severe cases, it is effective with insufficient activity of other antibiotics.

Method of application: intravenously (drip), intramuscularly, topically. A single minimum dose of 0.4 μ / kg. The daily maximum dose for severe cases is 5 mg / kg. Daily doses of the drug vary. For infections of the respiratory tract this antibiotic is often used for inhalations (0.1%). In keratitis, conjunctivitis and other eye infections 3-4 times a day, a few drops are injected into the eyes with a 0.3% solution of gentamicin. Ointment "Gentamycin-AKOS", the instruction: it is applied at folliculitis, pyoderma, furunculosis. It contains 0.1% gentamycin sulfate. Affected areas are lubricated daily 2-3 times.
