Medication "Ambrobene" (for children) is a mucolytic drug with an expectorant effect. Ambroxol is the active component of the drug. The drug has a secretolytic and secretory effect. After oral administration, the effect comes after half an hour and lasts for a day. The active component acts on the serous cells in the bronchial mucosa. Medication "Ambrobene" (for children) helps to reduce the viscosity of sputum, improving its transportation. Against the background of a combination with antibiotics, the agent potentiates the activity of these drugs, increasing their concentration in bronchial secretion and sputum.

Indications

The medicine "Ambrobene" (for children) is recommended for bronchiectasis, bronchial asthma, pneumonia, bronchitis of acute and chronic types complicated by difficulties in excretion of sputum. The medication effectively stimulates the synthesis of surfactant on the basis of respiratory distress syndrome in newborns (including premature) patients. In this case, the drug is a component of combination therapy.

Adolescents with 12 years of age in the first couple of days are recommended on a tablet three times a day, then twice or twice a tablet three times a day. The drug "Ambrobene" for children from five to 12 years is assigned to 0.5 tablets. 2-3 times a day. Capsules are recommended to patients with twelve years of 1 pc. daily. Dosage of the solution for inhalation and oral administration is carried out using a measuring cup. Medication "Ambrobene" for children from 5 to 12 years is recommended for 2 ml not more than three times, from 2 to 5 years - 1 ml three times a day. The drug is recommended after eating, washed down with warm liquid.

Contraindications

Medication "Ambrobene" (for children) is not prescribed for ulcer in the duodenum and lesions in the stomach, individual intolerance. Contraindications include pregnancy (the first third in particular) in connection with the alleged deleterious effect on the state of the unborn child. The expediency of prescribing during the feeding of the baby is determined by the doctor.

Side effects

As practice shows, the medication is transferred at different ages satisfactorily with respect to the dosing regimen and the prescription of a specialist. In some cases, allergic reactions due to hypersensitivity are possible. When they occur, the drug is canceled. Negative consequences include exanthem, vomiting, diarrhea, nausea, gastralgia, pain in the head. Some patients may develop weakness. With a rapid introduction into the vein, adynamia is observed, severe headache, confusion.

Parenteral administration of the drug is appropriate for the relief of acute symptoms of the disease. After relief, the patient should be taken for oral administration. The administration of a suspended form to patients with diabetes mellitus is acceptable. It is not recommended to use a combination of drugs with antitussive drugs.
