The plant has smooth, abundantly branched stems. Height up to 60 cm. Flowers are bright, large, terry or simple. Diameter 5-7 cm. They are decorated in very lush inflorescences. When all flowers blossom, the brush looks bright and very elegant. Their color is different. Most often there are crimson, pink, white, lilac and lilac-purple inflorescences. But the flowers are also quite unusual, with colorful colors. Godecia pleases us with abundant flowering from the middle of July until the first frosts. This plant looks great in garden beds, in suburban areas, in urban parks. Godices are suitable for cutting. But for this grow tall varieties. More and more often these unusually beautiful plants can be seen in the summer on balconies.

But not only the beauty of their inflorescences attract these amazing flowers - godets. Growing it does not cause much trouble. The plant is unpretentious, photophilic and frost-resistant. The best place to plant is a sunny and open plot away from the shade of trees and buildings. The plant perfectly tolerates nocturnal frosts to -3 degrees. For this reason, the seedlings are transferred to the open ground, without fear of the impact of late frost. Cover them with nothing, the survival of the state is very high.

These flowers are not capricious in reproduction. Godetia prefers neutral, rich in nutrients and minerals, loamy soils. Humidification should be moderate. Before digging beds in the soil make organic fertilizers. The best mixture consists of compost and humus, mineral substances and wood ash are also added. This will provide plants with food for the entire period of growth and flowering. If the summer period turned out to be very arid or, on the contrary, it often rains, the yearning blooms very badly.

Propagate the flower with the help of seeds. Plant them in a pre-cooked pot in March. In the open ground the seedlings are transferred in the middle of May. Distance between the shoots is 20-25 cm. You can make seeding and directly into the open ground in the first decade of June. They are lightly sprinkled with earth, the depth of planting is up to 0.5 cm. The first shoots can be seen after 6-10 days. If a transplant is required, it should be borne in mind that this process is extremely painful for the flowers. Godetia often dies when wrong and rough transplantation, especially if the roots are bare. Therefore, the germs are transferred to a new place with a wet coma. You can use peat pots to grow seedlings.

There are several varieties of this plant:

• "Charming" - with double pink, red and white flowers. Their diameter is up to 8 cm. Height is 30-60 cm.
• The state of the "Monarch". It's a mix of colors. The plant is a short-haired to 20 cm. Flowers are in the form of bells. Blossoms until September.
• "Large-flowered". Flowers funnel-shaped. The height of the plant is up to 40 cm.

All these varieties can be seen in magazines for florists, on specialized sites in the sections "Godecia. Photo." Flowers on flowerbeds often grow varieties "Large-flowered" and "Charming". The monarch is not so popular because of its low stems - they are unsuitable for cutting.
