Inside the vials is a colorless transparent liquid with a specific odor, which is due to the presence of ethyl alcohol in the composition.

Formic alcohol is a fairly simple substance, which is a formic acid dissolved in ethyl alcohol (1.4% solution). Both these products have a strong enough irritating and drying effect, which makes this drug very effective against acne.
