Candles "Klion-D": description, instruction, contra-indications.

One of the most common drugs for the treatment of various origin of vaginitis, are the "Clion-D" suppositories. But before you start using this medication alone, you should get advice from an experienced gynecologist who will put the correct diagnosis and determine the nature of the occurrence of vaginitis.

Symptoms of this disease, and, therefore, the reasons for taking the drug are:

• Pain and feeling of "heaviness" in the pelvic region;
• Burning, itching, or discomfort in the vagina ;
• The appearance of copious excretions with possible inclusions of pus.

All these are signs of an inflammatory process that takes place on the sheath of the vagina, or vaginitis, one of the ways of treating which are the Klion-D suppositories. Since they have a pronounced antifungal and anti-inflammatory effect, their use is shown both in the composition of complex therapy and as a monotherapy.

Description of the preparation

Candles are produced in packs containing 10 vaginal tablets of a specific almond shape, which facilitates their introduction into the vagina. Ready-to-use tablets have a white homogeneous color that matches both on the surface of the candles and on their break. In the event of a discolouration or discrepancy, it is better to refuse use.

The drug "Klion-D" (candles): the instruction.

The instruction provides for two types of application of the drug, depending on the specific nature of vaginitis.

• With trichomonadic vaginitis, they are prescribed as part of complex therapy combined with metronidazole ingestion, 1 candle daily for 10 days;
• With Candida or nonspecific vaginitis Candle "Clion-D" is used 2 times a day for 10 days. Taking metronidazole inside is possible with an acute course of the inflammatory process, and the decision on its appointment is made by the doctor on the basis of the obtained laboratory data.

In any case, before intravaginal application, the candles are removed from the package, moistened with water at room temperature and injected deep into the vagina. After this, it is necessary to spend some time in a state of rest, so it will be advisable to apply the drug "Klion" -a candle for the night.

During treatment should be abandoned sexual activity, even with the use of barrier contraceptives. At the same time, an obligatory factor of successful treatment is simultaneous therapy in both sexual partners, regardless of whether they have significant symptoms of the inflammatory process.

Contraindications to the use of vaginal suppositories "Klion-D"

There are two main groups of restrictions on the use of this drug. The first includes the following restrictions:

• Violation of coordination of movements ;
• liver failure;
• Lactation (the period of breastfeeding);
• The first trimester of pregnancy;
• Lesions of the central nervous system;
• Diseases of the blood and circulatory system;
• Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug;
• Age to 18 years.

In all these cases, the use of the Clion-D tool is completely eliminated.

The second group of contraindications implies the careful use of the drug under the strict supervision of a doctor and only in cases of acute necessity. Such cases include:

• Pregnancy in the second and third trimester;
• Kidney failure;
• Neurological diseases.

Side effects

Candles "Klion-D" rarely lead to various manifestations of side effects, but in rare cases, allergic reactions are possible in the form of rashes on the skin, fevers, nasal congestion. There may also be manifestations of the digestive system: colic, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, pancreatitis, the appearance of metallic taste in the mouth.
