Fetal movement during pregnancy helps to assess his condition

Any pregnant woman is waiting for the beginning of the perturbations and listens to her feelings. And still, every time this feeling comes unexpectedly and gives the future mother an incomparable feeling of tenderness and love for her baby, who so clearly declared himself. Moving the baby in the womb begins very early, but the mother does not yet feel these light touches to the walls of the uterus.

And only by 18-20 weeks, primiparous women begin to hear the movements of the child. The wiggling of the fetus during the second pregnancy is felt earlier, in the period from 16 to 18 weeks. At first, these are timid chaotic movements, comparable to those of a mother with a fish swimming or fluttering a butterfly. But over time, the wiggling of the fetus during pregnancy becomes more and more palpable and rhythmic.

From the 24th week of pregnancy the movements become distinct and vary from 10 to 40 shocks per minute. In the second half of the pregnancy, the perturbations take a certain rhythm. Not exactly accurate, but rather approximate. But still, these movements allow you to determine whether a child is sleeping or awake. Sometimes the fetus freezes in the womb for a while - this indicates that he is sleeping. The period of active movements indicates that the child develops normally in the womb.

Too active fetal movement during pregnancy can indicate hypoxia (lack of oxygen). This can be due to the mother's prolonged malaise when she sleeps on her back or sits, throwing her leg over her leg. The position on the back causes increased pressure of the uterus on the aorta, and crossed legs disrupt the normal circulation in the lower limbs. As a consequence, the child loses oxygen and begins to make too active movements. As soon as the mother changes the position of the body, the fetus returns to normal motor activity.

It happens that hypoxia occurs because of clamping the umbilical cord in the womb of the mother by the child. Then active stirring helps restore vascular patency and normal blood flow.

The wiggling of the fetus during pregnancy makes it possible to monitor the state of the growing organism without the presence of diagnostic equipment. After all, every pregnant woman involuntarily notices the movements of the child, even if she is busy with something. It can be wary of too violent a stir or, conversely, a lull for a long period.

If the wiggling of the fetus during pregnancy gives pain, it is necessary to consult with the treating doctor.

To control the number of movements of the fetus, there is a special test. If the mother notices that the child moves little during the day, she will be offered to take the test of J. Pearson. It lies in the fact that throughout (for 9 am to 9 pm) it is necessary to record all the movements of the fetus on a special schedule. If the test result shows that the number of movements is less than 10 per day, there is a suspicion of oxygen starvation of the fetus. In this case, additional studies are conducted to help identify pathology.

At a multiple pregnancy the future mum can feel pushes in different departments of a stomach or belly it is absolutely normal. The first perturbations in the pregnancy of twins or triplets can cause anxiety in the mother, since they are too active due to the presence of several fetuses in the uterus. To make sure everything is normal, you need to undergo ultrasound.

After 32 weeks of gestation activity decreases. This is due to the fact that the uterus is becoming less and less room for a growing child. Now he does not push, but protrudes some parts of the body so that sometimes it is visible to the naked eye.

The activity of the child's movements in the abdomen depends on many factors: the time of day, the mental and physical state of the mother, and the composition of the blood. The future mother should take care of her health: take food in a timely manner, breathe fresh air, fully rest, give up bad habits. Then the child will feel fine too.
