As a result, it was decided to raise the height to 36,000 feet. After the investigation of this incident, the federal agency Rosaviatsia banned the passenger air transportation over Syria until the end of the civil war in its territory.

The second incident occurred in December of the same year with an airplane following the route St. Petersburg-Goa. Almost immediately after takeoff there was a depressurization in the cabin, as a result of which the plane was forced to board the Moscow airport "Sheremetyevo".
