Cooking borscht in the multivark

Among the many varied cold and hot soups, painted in cookbooks, the most loved and loved one for many of us remains borscht. It is recognized almost as a national dish in most Slavic countries, especially in Russia and Ukraine. And the inhabitants of each country claim that they are able to correctly prepare borsch.

The main ingredient of this soup is beet, it gives it a characteristic color. It is not without reason that from the Old Slavonic its name is so consonant with the borsch - "brsch". Well-known to everyone since childhood, cooked by my mother's recipe, this is a soup for all time. The basis remains unchanged for many decades, but the technique of preparation can be very different from that used by our ancestors.

Usually we prepare borscht in a large saucepan - for the whole family, and to be enough for a few days. After all, it's not a secret for anyone that insisting for a night, this soup does not get worse. On the contrary, it acquires an even richer and rich taste. But technical progress never stops, he also touched kitchen utensils. Now, for the joy of the housewives, new electric appliances have appeared that facilitate the cooking process and make it more quick and convenient.

How to cook borscht in a multivark

One of the most useful kitchen appliances, designed to facilitate our life, we can safely call a multivark. Universal and multifunctional, with precise time control, it is useful for many dishes, including soups, and will be an indispensable assistant for a modern woman. In addition, you can cook borscht in a multivarquet in a record short time, while retaining more useful substances than with the usual cooking process.

So, we need:

Pork, preferably on a bone - about 300 grams, one large onion, one carrot, one sweet Bulgarian pepper, a couple tomatoes, a few potatoes, about 200 grams of cabbage (white, but you can use both color and Beijing), one medium beet , Two to three cloves of garlic, a third of a lemon juice, three tablespoons of olive oil and the same amount of tomato paste, seasoning at your discretion.

The cooking process

Cooking soup in a multivark - it's not difficult. Let's start with meat. First of all, of course, it is necessary to rinse well with cold running water and allow it to drain (or to get soaked with a kitchen paper towel so as not to waste time). We cut the meat into small pieces. Now you need to put the baking mode on the multivark, pour into it three spoons of olive oil and fry the prepared meat. Over the next 20 minutes, it must be periodically turned over.

During this time, you can have time to thoroughly wash all the vegetables, peel them from the skin. Carrots and beet separately we rub on a grater of the average size. Onions are rinsed with water and crushed with a knife. Now that the above 20 minutes have passed, pour the onions and carrots into the multivark. The whole is mixed and fried for another 15 minutes.

Tomatoes also need to be chopped, cutting them in half, and then - into thin slices. Then add the beet together with the tomatoes to the rest of the products. Stir and fry for another 10 minutes. While this time is passing, you can clean and chop the sweet pepper. In the end, we add it to the multivark, immediately send there three spoons of tomato paste, crushed garlic, seasonings. We keep all 10 minutes.

Potatoes must be cleaned and cut into cubes, chop the cabbage with thin straws. Pour them out to our future borscht, salt and pour clean water. Now you need to switch the device to a different mode. We need to "extinguish". We leave the soup ready for half an hour. But in any case, do not serve immediately on the table! After this time, it should be insisted for at least 20 minutes. Then you can pour soup on plates, decorate with greens, sour cream and make home delicious, and most importantly, useful, lunch.

As you can see, it is not more difficult to cook borscht in a multivariate than in the usual way. Another advantage of this cooking is that you do not have to keep an eye on soup. The hostess can safely engage in some other things. The technique itself will turn it off in time and not digest it.
