The area on which the asparagus beans will grow must be well lit and warm, and in a cool climate it is best to grow this plant in greenhouses, as it is very thermophilic and dies of frost. It is very good, if on the site to the asparagus beans grew roots. From year to year plant this plant on the same site is not recommended.

Planting of asparagus beans is similar to other legumes - seeds are pre-soaked or planted in well-moistened soil. In addition, it is recommended that they be kept in a thick manganese solution before planting for 15-20 minutes. Seeds that germinate within 8 to 10 days are planted to a depth of 4 centimeters, the distance between grooves is 25-30 centimeters. If the site is small and there is a need to save space, the asparagus beans can be planted in staggered order three circles around a pole up to three meters high.

This plant requires regular watering, although it is sufficiently resistant to over-dried air. With insufficient watering, the development of the stems is poor, and the fruits are small. After reaching the height of 2.5 meters, they need to be pinched in order to limit further growth and stimulate fruiting. The flowering period of the plant begins 35-40 days after the seeds germinate, and the appearance of the ovaries occurs after another 20 days. About 10 days have elapsed since the appearance of the ovaries and until the onset of their maturity.

Harvesting of asparagus beans is selective in nature - fruits that reach milky ripeness are broken, and hardening of grains is not allowed. Regular and timely cutting of fruits stimulates the activation of the process of formation of fresh ovaries. The period of fruiting the asparagus beans is long and lasts until the frosts.
